The Live & Let Live A pub "great friends, great stories, great food - the beating heart of a local community"
This lovely Inn tucked away along little lanes, was well worth the effort of driving a bit off the beaten track. Visited, with my daughter, on Tuesday evening to find an extremely reasonable set menu of their 'leftovers' WOW! we were blown away with the quality, service & price. Really tasty, perfectly presented food such flair & imagination. The New Zealand wine wasn't overpriced either & packed a punch. Just perfect on all levels. Doubtless to say we have booked for next Tuesday.

Family owned and run village pub in the heart of the Devon village of Harberton. Excellent quality food and drink. Dogs welcome.
Found this pub by accident, but can't wait to return! Stopped for a coffee and then decided to stay for lunch and another coffee! Wonderful food - so lovely to have something not from a pub chain! Delicious mackerel dish is to be recommended! Excellent value for money. Very friendly landlord.

A very warm welcome awaits you at the Tally Ho, a pub that has been part of village life for around 500 years. Built as a Devon Church House, the pub has been a meeting place for friends and neighbours, as well as hosting a steady stream of visitors from
Booked here to take in-laws for Sunday Lunch. Came recommended by some friends.Itâs a community pub in a village and is olde worlde inside. Initial service a little slow. Menu is choice of Roasts and then that 70âs throwback - a sweet trolley. Food took about 25 minutes to come out and when it did the veg came out and then a few minutes later the main plates. The meat and gravy was very tasty. Vegetables including Parsnips, a bit bland for me, no seasoning and started getting cold before meat and gravy, due to wait.Desserts - a simple trolley choice. Lemon and Ginger cheesecake, was enjoyed. Price £15 for 2 courses. Good value.

Visited recently for lunch which was excellent value for money but the highlight was the cheese board beyond any doubt the best cheese board including some high end restaurants who claim to have a great cheese selection. If anyone needs help designing as cheese selection then come and talk to the owners. Thank you for a great experience. We will be back. I would recommend booking as they were very busy.

Found this place online and it didn't disappoint - great 3 meat roast and a lovely atmospheric olde worlde inn. Had to negotiate some very narrow country lanes to get there!

A real Devon Inn. The Pig & Whistle looks traditional and serves traditional. Supporting local from land to sea. A warm welcome from the Landlords & staff. Log Burners in winter to warm you; a decked terrace area in Summer. Large car park for patrons. Les
Very rarely do you find a place where they excel in all areas of satisfaction but at the Pig and Whistle they do.Outstanding service, delightful meal, a lovely ambiance and a well kept ale. Well done to all staff, we had a great evening. My only grumble is that i have never been charged for peas with a steak meal! A bit naughty i feel but something to consider perhaps? Thanks again

We visited this brilliant pub on a Saturday evening and were really pleased by the very enjoyable atmosphere with friendly welcoming staff and a clean contemporary environment. There was a good selection of drinks and the food was excellent I enjoyed a locally sourced (Halls the butchers in Totnes High Street) burger which was even better than expected and my friends enjoyed amazing looking pizza's made on the premises! There was some pleasant musical entertainment and I was actually sorry to leave but our exploration of Totnes had to continue! We will definitely be back!

Once again on a very busy Wednesday evening The Cott gave my youngest son a fab 41st birthday venue. We've been coming here for years as we live close by and it's had it's ups and downs in 45 years but the current landlord works wonders and it maintains it's Best Pub title for yet another year. OK so it's got low ceilings and a slightly cramped space, with the men's loos outside, in fact everything a 1320 AD pub should have. Our meal for 10 persons was cooked and delivered as we'd expect. Looking forward to next time ..
