We attended for Motherâs Day. Absolutely faultless from start to finish. Paul and Debbie and their staff couldnât have been nicer. Food and setting was sublime, as always. Best roast dinner (vegetarian) Iâve eaten. We were amazed when the told us theyâd done 250 covers that day. The staff were so friendly and the food was so well cooked and presented. Best pub food for miles and miles around.

We called in last night for dinner, immediately we were made to feel welcome and told to find a table. We ordered drinks, shepherds pie and haddock & chips. The food arrived tasty and hot. There were lots of people enjoying the food, locals and tourists, even for the 1st week in September. The pub is dog friendly and saw the land lord give the dogs a treat, which is a nice gesture.Overall a good local pub, friendly and good food.

The Leyland Arms is one of the few remaining true country pubs with a real country pub attitude. The Leyland Arms exists primarily to keep the local community together and to provide a social center for those within Llanelidan.A warm welcome also awaits a
I was introduced to this Gastropub by friends and was enchanted. The Landlord and his wife are extremely friendly, the setting is idyllic and the history of the place fascinating. The menu was inspired which is not always the case these days. I was very impressed and will bring other friends from Ruthin and Llanfwrog, where I live. Definitely 5*.
Nice little pub with a few unusual features like the old fashioned juke box. Great pool table and a pretty good pint too!
The Blue Lion sits at the crossroads of the lovely village of Cynwyd which nestles between the town's of Corwen and Bala in beautiful North Wales. It's an old listed building which we have very tastefully renovated to accommodate the old values of a prope
Stayed here for one night on a recent cycling trip through the Dee Valley. Really nice, comfortable and new rooms above the pub. Had dinner in the restaurant which was pretty good as was the following morning's breakfast. Staff were generally very helpful, although some appeared to be still learning their roles. Bike parking available outside the pub. Cynwyd seems a nice and peaceful village. Overal, enjoyed my stay and would encourage others to give it a try.

Very disappointed, great old coaching inn.Service by the two young ladies was charming , helpful and attentive. As a large group ordered in advance. Menu is normal pub food. But the quality, oh dear. Food not fresh, but had not even been microwaved properly. My wifeâs Scampi and Chips were terrible, my Thai Curry had been around some time and not hot. Whole group was unanimous- all twenty. Even if not freshly cooked, food should be hot and tasty. Even the gammon was tough.

Pub with campsite. 18th Century Grade II listed drovers inn set in beautiful "Tolkeinesque" surroundings next to the River Alwen. Fabulous Beer terrace with river views. Real ales, good classic pub grub. Wild campsite on a long strip next to the river whe
On the way back from the coast today I thought I would check out the Crown Inn near Corwen. Based on the reviews I was expecting something special but I was a bit disappointed. The site was fine , small , next to a river , very pretty. The pub however was not great. Dog mess all over the beer garden and the approach from the site to it was very unpleasant. Without being too graphic it was fairly obvious it had been there for a while. There was also evidence of poorly cleaned up dog mess in other places in the garden , which wouldn't be a massive issue if you didn't have to walk through it to use the toilets or collect fresh water. I wasn't overly impressed with the pub either tbh. It's a shame as I was wanting a semi local bolt hole nearby , but regrettably this won't be it.****note**** since posting this same review online the owner has had me banned from various FB groups which is both sad and pathetic in equal measure. Enjoy your stay folks! Please note I did nothing to ban you from groups on Facebook!! I very professionally apologised for your inconvenience and explained that serious family illness and commitments had temporarily interfered with the usual high standards we uphold for the Crown. However, it would have been nice if you had spoken to us rather than blackening our business all over social media.

We met a friend for a few drinks & ordered food as we were hungry. The steak was lovely & the chips were spot on! Ended up staying & having a few drinks with the locals, what a great atmosphere & completely welcomed.
