We were looking for a fun, local lunch stop in Copenhagen and wandered in to this restaurant after seeing positive reviews on Trip Advisor. It's actually a bar with a few tables, very small, and when we entered there were no empty tables. Immediately, though, an elderly local offered to move to the bar so we could have his table. He said, "Go back into the kitchen to get your food. Help yourself.""Huh? Go into the kitchen?" "Yes, right through there. Everything is 22 krone" (about $3.25). OK! Let's do it! In the very small kitchen was a selection of about six or seven cold smorrebrods (open-faced sandwiches). My wife and I selected three to split. One -- with breaded fish -- was quite large. One had sausages and one had hard boiled eggs and a curry sauce. All three were very tasty, and an incredible value at 22 krone each. We also had a couple beers, for a total bill of about 180 krones ($27). The bartender was very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was full of locals enjoying the beer and sandwiches. The decor is eclectic and weird; the whole place is a prize. We will probably go back tomorrow.

Stayed 2 blocks from here on a recent trip to Copenhagen in an apartment with 2 friends (it was cheaper than the hotels but a bit further away from the central downtown area). What a surprise and a gem this pace turned out to be! We stopped in every night on our way home for a few beers, the beers list was amazing! There was a dozen or so on tap and 100's of bottles, an amazing selection of local beers and beers from around the world. A bit outside of the main downtown area, but worth the time if you enjoy beer!
