Reviews on Pub food in Colonia del Sacramento, Colonia Department, Uruguay. The historic quarter of Colonia del Sacramento, founded in 1680, evokes old Lisbon with its Portuguese-influenced architecture and winding streets. The area, located in southwestern Uruguay on the Rio de la Plata, was named a UNESCO World Heritage site in 1995. It's an easy day trip by ferry from Buenos Aires, making the beaches a popular Argentinean escape. Major sights include Iglesia Matriz, the country's oldest church, the Municipal Museum and a 17th-century port jutting into the river.

Well chosen stop over for lunch during our NCL Tour of Colonia del Sacramento. These were large servings of Salad, Steaks or Chicken with a good local wine. Everyone enjoyed the meals and the atmosphere. The servers were very attentive and friendly. The central location offered everyone easy free time to walk around this beutiful little town.

Was popular with the locals for both drinks and mealsHelpful staff. We both enjoyed our main meals (Salmon and a Steak). Limited vegetable side meal options but this is a problem all across Argentina / Uruguay etcA good place to watch the locals and the setting sun.

Restaurant a la Carta - CafeterÃa - Menú Ejecutivo - Picadas - Tragos - Take Away Service - Abierto para todo publico.
We went one evening and thoroughly enjoyed the quiet dinner sitting outstide. The decor is simple, modern and pleasant. The food delicious, very well presented and our waiter couldn´t have been nicer or more efficient. Unfortunately we returned the next day for lunch and we found it all quite chaotic: long delays for a cold sandwich and we could hear a waitress telling an Italian couple they would have to wait a further 15 minutes for their salads or change their selected choive as they had run out of ingredients! The sandwiches had way too much bread (too doughy if you know what I mean), everything else was great, even their house wine.. Morena is the breakfast area and restaurant for the Costa Colonia hotel which is why it is usually full at midday.

Un local que ofrece almuerzos, picadas y cafeteria...ademas de 50 tipos de cerveza artesanal...produccion propia y comida casera
If you like craft beers, this place is unmissable. Although these days you can find non-industrial beers nearly in every corner, these people take it as a challenge to offer a great variety of little-known beers from Uruguay and other places. The restaurant is small (3 or 4 tables inside, another 2 or 3 outside) but the food is also very good and homemade and the owners are happy to offer explanations and advice for your choice. A great experience.we are allways happy to explain about beer¡ 33 different kinds of beer...thanks for your comment¡

In the midst of ¨El Centro¨, right next to the Catheral, we found a gem of a restaurant/lounge. There are two main areas in the restaurant; an inside lounge vibe and a rustic outdoor patio. This place was five stars on service, atmosphere, drinks and the food was amazing. Donât skip out on the dessert... Their brownie with Ice cream is heaven on earth. Like I said great service & atmosphere⦠the food and cocktails were carefully prepared with quality ingredients. Their cool and sophisticate vibe makes OPB a great spot for a date or a night out with friends. I went with a group of 6. The host, Erika, was super attentive to every detail. Overall a great place! I will surely be back next time I am in Colonia, Uruguay.

Well we went to this restro for dinner and the location was pretty relaxed and calm near the river very romantic overall. But the food is pretty overpriced, The quantity is very less and the waiter asked me to pay the service included in the final bill which was not very cool.

My boyfriend and I were walking around Colonia when we remembered the recommendation that the receptionist gave us at the B&B we're staying at. We went straight for the place and we weren't disappointed at all with the rich flavour of the pizza we ordered. The selection of beers are the highlight of the place, so we ordered Sacramento and Marilyn, both blondes. The combination of both was perfect for the hot summer night, where we fell in love with both products. They were delicious! The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is the fact that the service provided by the waiter was not good. He wasn't friendly at all, he didn't set up our table (we had to do it ourselves) and he didn't show up for 15 minutes after we got our order; we were lucky though, because the ladies on the next table hadn't even received their drinks. A dark spot in contrast with the magnificent food and great beer.

Mastra hands you a detailed menu about the different beers they offer and we chose one named "Del mercado". I don't usually drink beer but this one was really good!We also ordered some food. While de pizza was average, the chivito was one of the best in town! Quite a finding!
