A warm & welcoming traditional pub, home-made food, real ales & lovely beer garden.
We have been in the area for three years, our caravan is nearby. This pub had to be our favourite. Food is always freshly cooked and delicious. Heather and all staff are always very welcoming and they work so hard to make this establishment a success. Locals are friendly too.Would highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our dinner at the pub, steak was delicious, as were the chips. Service was very good - friendly, hospitable and efficient. Pleasant surroundings, more than your usual pub fare.

⢠Lovely, friendly staff⢠Lovely food⢠Great atmosphereMy wife and I had an early supper at the Talbot Arms and we were treated as valued customers and the food was terrific. I had the Cajun Chicken with chips, salad and coleslaw, my wife had the steak and ale pie with mash. Both meals were perfect, and we both really enjoyed them. The staff were all great too, friendly and helpful, they are a credit to the owners.Well done everyone, I have one more night in Settle, we might be back!Thank you David, for your lovely 5-star review. We are delighted you enjoyed your visit to the Talbot Arms and thank you for giving our staff the credit they deserve.Hopefully see you for your last night in Settle!

Traditional pub food and excellent cask ales in a beautiful part of the Yorkshire Dales.
Motorcycling around England we were finding it difficult to get accommodation in the Yorkshire Dales but the Craven Heifer had rooms so we took a chance for a 3 nighter & so pleased we did.The pub is under new ownership & management along with fully refurbished rooms, each with en-suite.We were warmly welcomed by Lynne who showed us to our room, which was equipped with a very comfy king size bed. The room size is good & the toilet shower ensuite clean & a great shower. The food on offer is high standard pub menu with vegetarian options. The bar is lively at night & good fun but doesnât intrude too much if you need an early night.Congratulations to Lynne & her team for a great well run pub & rooms - we loved our time there!

The Old Hill Inn is an ancient inn of great character, part of which dates back to 1615 and the other part 1835. Originally a farm, then Drovers inn, now specialising in delicious home cooked food and excellent puddings. A family of chefs run the establis
Six of us had a wonderful meal here on Tuesday evening. Great service, really well cooked food and imaginative and well presented desserts. Enjoyed it so much that we returned on Wednesday evening for a repeat performance and we were all equally impressed. Recommend for great food, friendly service, old world ambience and good selection of beers.

Masons Freehouse. Publice House, open daily. We serve food all day. We have three cosy en- suite bedrooms. We have traditional ales and logs fires.
Visited on a Tuesday evening at 7.00, having booked - place was packed out and whilst we had a reserved table it was a little cramped. Food was very good and service was good if a little slow. beer was excellent . Pricing wise a little high but not excessive - Would visit again - but ensure you book!

Part of the 5 Star New Inn Clapham , Bistro 1745 serves a fantastic range of locally sourced delicious meals to suit all tastes, recently winning a 2015 Breakfast award!
After walking the Ingleborough trail a good meal and refreshing drinks were necessary and the New Inn supplied these in abundance. A fresh and interesting decor with shields, helmets and other bits of knight's accoutrement displayed on the walls, etc. The menu was short but well suited to general tastes. My Cumberland Curl on mashed potato was excellent. The staff were chatty and friendly with quick service. Prices were fine and the atmosphere in the inn was very pleasant and relaxing.

Welcome to The Game Cock Inn a Traditional Yorkshire Dales pub, restaurant and B&B with a cosy bar, real fire, award winning restaurant, delicious food with a French twist and comfortable, quality accommodation.
Arrived without booking and asked for a table and was told one would be just refreshed for us and ready in a couple of minutes, ordered drinks while waiting to then be told there was no availability for 2 hours. The pub did appear to be very busy which I would imagine is reflective of popularity generally but poor service to back that up, my young daughter and I went elsewhere.
