Monday through Thursday we close anytime between 10pm and 2am dependent on customers. If it's slow and no one has come in for over an hour we will close, but no earlier than 10pm. If customers are here we will stay open 'till 2am!
Not far off Interstate 29 and County Highway X you will find The View, and as its name implies, there is a beautiful view of Lake Wissota that you can enjoy while you dine. During better weather there is plenty of outdoor seating, both around the building AND on the roof!I decided to take my stepdaughter and her husband out to dinner since I donât get to see them enough. We are blessed to have a place like the view within a short driving distance from our home.I wasnât sure what to expect on a Monday evening but the parking lot didnât look to full so I thought weâd chance grabbing dinner without taking too long because it was already 7:00 pm and I donât like to eat to late. The kids are always hungry so we ordered several appetizers to get started; onion rings, their homemade thick sliced potato chips and cookie dough bites, while I must confess I sampled everything, I didnât eat much of the appetizers, they were all GREAT by the way! Service could have been a little better, however, it was a Monday night, and I know from having been in the restaurant business, this is a night that is difficult to staff for, will it be busy? Who knows? So Sarah, the only waitress, did her very best to keep up with everything. And I have to tell you, I learned just before leaving that this was her second day there, I never would have guessed, she was just delightful.A few comments about the food post appetizer; I had a small pizza and Iâm a little picky, I have a favorite and most places that serve pizza usually canât accommodate my request, I like a Jalapeno and Celery pizza! They first admitted that they did NOT have celery, however, after some investigation they said that they DID have celery. I must say, Iâve had better pizza but it was good and I was just thrilled they could accommodate my strange request. My son-in-law is extremely lactose intolerant so he tried to find a variety of things he could eat, and man did he eat! He ordered Buffalo wings; he ordered fries, and a HOT burger, sans the cheese. He said everything was great, and it must have been because I wagered he would NOT finish his meal and I lost. The stepdaughter ordered a burger that she thoroughly enjoyed, and while they forgot her request for extra pickles, they very quickly took care of it.I was very impressed with the cook, while the waitress apparently conveyed to the cook regarding the lactose thing, the cook came out from the kitchen and answered questions about the way things are cooked and offered some modifications to the menu that would protect him from possible cross contamination. I thought that was really great that the cooked seemed genuinely concerned for him, very cool.If you havenât been to the View in awhile, I would encourage you to make a return trip, the remodel completed about two years ago is really nice. I even had a business lunch there about a week ago and their lunch menu was spectacular as well.

We visited the Blue Marble for the first time recently. It's a small neighborhood pub nearly across the street from our biggest tourist attraction, the Leinenkugel Brewery. The appetizer portabella mushroom caps were outstanding and could be a lunch item for one person. My whiskey barrel panino was good but not great. I'd give it 3 stars. There should have been more in the panino than ham and a few pieces of pineapple. Even with the side of barbeque sauce, something was missing flavor-wise. My daughter's MoMo panino was very good, and my granddaughter loved her Grace Kelly sandwich. My sweet potato chips were very good as were their fries. The sandwiches come with either the chips or fries. My less-than-great sandwich and the service were the reasons the Blue Marble didn't rate 5 stars. We came for a late lunch. Two other tables were occupied. There were tables that had not been bussed, so we sat at a high table. Menus were brought to the table after several minutes and laid down with no word of welcome. Our orders were not taken until the wait person (?owner) was done bussing the tables. After our orders were taken, service improved and was good until the end of the lunch. We'll definitely visit again, but it might be good to wait until after peak times if the service after the lunch hour is any indication.

We were recommended to try this place for dinner for a Saturday evening, There was four of us dining, two dinners were barely warm, two were fairly warm, took asking server twice to get the balance of my meal, which came after I was done. Drink was made incorrectly and after two separate servers came to our table two times, not a single plate or cup was ever cleaned from our table. Food was mediocre and service was quite poor. Ambience and facilities were nice, I think it has potential to be far better.

The owner gets it..he has local (WI) beers on tap and about 15 of them at a time that rotate. Very relaxed atmosphere. A favorite spot to catch a snifter or pint, especially during happy hour as they have great prices. Owner still barkeeps and hires quality bartenders..

Been wanting to try this bar/grill for quite awhile but place has always been busy. Now i see why. We had burgers and corned beef and both were very good. Excellant service and place was very clean. We noticed the acoustic panels on the ceiling which really helped to keep the noise level down. Definitely will stop again.

Our friends like this restaurant so they took us here. That was a good choice as they had prime rib on the menu both in an open face sandwich form and a full dinner. I chose the full dinner but my wife did the sandwich. With the exception of getting a salad and baked potato instead of the fries only with the sandwich both prime rib meals were the same. Service was very good.

Very nice neighborhood bar, close to the Leinenkugel brewery, which of course is what I drank, an Octoberfest. Had cheese curds which were about average, but the burger was excellent. Really nice chargrilled flavor. Had the Swiss and mushroom. Cozy, small atmosphere and a true neighborhood bar. Nothing fancy, just the way I like it.

Visited here once before with wife and daughter about 8 years ago. Very consistent. Sorry server 471, I forgot your name but you were pleasant and excellent. The Friday Fish Fry was very fried, a bit too much but that didn't impact the review at all. Ordering the cheese curds and never getting them was another bump in the road. This says how much we enjoyed ourselves anyway. Will be back..............stuff happens.
