Estuary Views offering beautiful Thames Estuary views and a lavish restaurant with weekly live entertainment and traditional Sunday roasts.
As a last minute booking, all I can say is we were treated with the utmost respect on arrival, shown straight to our table and had drinks brought to us immediately. Ordered our three course meal and actually had time between courses to enjoy our food and appreciate our wonderful singer/entertainer Georgie B.I loved the surroundings of the traditional English seaside building, the food was lovely, the service was excellent (thank you all) and the evening and crowd were all relaxed.Thank you to all the staff for excellent service, wonderful food and a wonderful evening.Would thoroughly recommend an evening and I will look out for forthcoming events

Welcome to The Hamlet Court - a traditional community pub located in the heart of Hamlet Court Road, Westcliff-on-Sea. Located Just a short walk to both the Cliffs Pavilion and the Palace Theatre, our pub is the ideal location for a pre-show meal or post-
I am a local/regular and visit the Hamlet frequently. On the upside, it's a really friendly local pub, with lovely food, and great staff. Sadly, they've changed the Sauvignon Blanc to a type called Bear and Star....nnot only is it completely unpalatable, but its £1.25 a bottle more than the previous one which at least was drinkable. Thankfully, as a regular, I was given the offer to taste the new Sauvignon before purchasing any....3 of us had a sip ... we all thought it was FOUL.So I tried the Pinot Grigio....it was disgusting tooSo I tried the Pinot Grigio Rosada....it was better....but again £17.95 a bottle..as opposed to £15.25 for the previous Sauv.So it's now £2.75 a bottle more for me to enjoy a bottle of wine with friends in my local.I should mention that there is an alternative Sauv...a New Zealand one, but its £22.95!!!! £7.75 more a bottle than the last palatable Sauv the Hamlet used to serve! This is a local pub, its not in town, on the seafront or in Leigh....my advice to management is get to know your customers..... before you lose them. HI ThereThank you for taking the time to offer your feedback, we take all customer comments seriously. It is with that in mind that the previous Sauvignon Blanc - and a few other wines were reviewed and replaced. It was identified from customer feedback across the company sites that the existing product was not satisfactory. We are sorry that you are not happy with the replacement, and will certainly keep that in mind as we continue to review and assess our offer. We have also been able to offer a discounted price on our existing Prosecco and even added a by the glass option as per customer feedback and request.

I don't come very often but nice to sit outside at the new wooden table and chairs. I'm not keen on having a drink inside, it gets rammed and you're lucky if you can find a seat. Thank you for taking time to leave a review. It is nice to know that you like our new garden furniture and enjoy the outside space. The pub does get very busy. You can always book a table on a week day without too much trouble if you did want to visit and be inside. We look forward to seeing you soon

Stayed here earlier in the year and was very disappointed with the room. However had room 4 on this occasion and must say it was a vast improvement. Only criticism was that room was a bit on the chilly side but maybe me for not checking radiator thermostat.

Whether youâre joining us for dinner or drinks, The Bellhouse is the ideal venue . We're rich in local history due to our royal connections (In the 15th century The Bellhouse was a hunting lodge used by Henry VIII). In the colder months, our delicious dis
My wife and I had been invited by two of our grandchildren to celebrate my seventy-something birthday the pub was quite busy and we had to wait a short while for our table once seated we were given menus and when we were ready our orders were taken we all opted for a roast lunch: turkey, half roast chicken, pork and one mixed which was beef, pork, and turkey the meals were served with crispy roast potatoes, mixed veg and a huge Yorkshire pudding plus a side order of cauliflower cheese which was included as part of the meal. We all agreed the meal was excellent and the service was way above average,I will recommend The Bellhouse.

This is a hotel restaurant, next to a lake and although it is basic it is very nice, it can accommodate small or large numbers of diners. The food was good and a very reasonable price. Waitresses were attentive, and wine cheaper than most restaurants. There is parking on site .

I organised a family get together and ordered a variety of main courses. Everyone's main courses arrived. My rump steak ordered medium rare arrived well done, I sent it back and waited. Everyone had finished their main courses and mine had not arrived. I summoned another waitress who said it was still being cooked !!.I know how long it takes to cook a medium rare rump steak!I told her that I was not prepared to wait any longer as everyone had finished and she could bring me a glass of wine and take it off the bill.she was happy to have a confrontation with me but eventually brought me a glass of wine .I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone in the future. Service was sporadic and obviously chefs untrained.Such a shame this spoilt our night out and I returned home hungry!!!Hi JPKS,Thank you for your review. There are a few points that I believe you have missed from your review that I would like to point out. The chef working that night is a very experienced chef and has many years of cookery skills under his belt and clearly did not mean to cook your steak higher than you expected. In regards to your rump steak the waitress apologised and another steak was offered immediately. The replacement steak was cooked in the correct amount of time that it takes to cook a medium rare steak. When you confronted the waitress she said it is being plated up now and this is when you decided you did not want the replacement. The waitress then OFFERED you a drink and a dessert on the house as a way of an apology because you did not eat a main meal, you did not demand a glass of wine, if you did then I would find this as being rude.My waitresses did everything they could on the night to try and make your visit a success, but unfortunately this was not to be even with a free glass of wine, a dessert and one of them taking photos of your whole family. It's a shame to hear that you would not recommend our restaurant, because as you can see from our online reviews, we get it right most of the time, albeit we are only human and sometimes mistakes do get made and we try our upmost hardest to rectify them and ensure the guests leave happy, most guests are understanding and accept the gesture of goodwill as you did on your visit.I will pass on your feedback to my team and we will use it constructively as an example in our training in the future.Once again thank you for your review, we cannot improve without feedback.
