Grubby dirty smelly hovel of a bar, bar staff hounding you to finish you drinks and get out. This is not what you expect. With tables that you bags can magically stick to and bar staff who have mood swings bigger than their heads. We went one night and have draft beer which gave one member bad stomach but we put it down to something else. Another who had a spirit and a mixer but where the location of the optics are you are unable to see what you are being served. It definitely was not what I asked for or was charged for an over priced under quality drink. When asking for glasses with ice the owner then scooped it out the ice bucket with his bare dirty hands. Yes this place is that hygienic. Now we move onto the bingo where you are guilt tripped and forced to play for â¬9 for a book of six where the enthusiasm for the bingo call was as impressive as her personality and talent of customer service...non existent. There are many bars in calella and surrounding resort that pride them selves on customer service and their good reputation. This is one bar that brings shame to the resort and the hospitality name.

Lovely to sit and people watch, it's at the start of all the shops, bars and restaurants. A place for the locals really, but a cheery place. Staff were happy.

We stayed in the miami hotel and they had a deal with the bar, sunbeds 5 euros each and two free soft drinks but to our surprise the waiter said it included our beers as well so we were so impressed we ordered food pizzas and baguettes which were all delicious, also came back after that for drinks, great bar can't fault it

Restaurant in the center of Calella (c / Jovara, 70). We focus on meals and dinners and offer an assortment of quality local produce. Our menu is affordable for the family pocket. We made different typical Spanish and Catalan tapas, toasts and salads, all
I went here because of the good reviews it had, from both locals and tourists, and I wasn't disappointed. Theres a big blackboard listing the dishes, and the friendly owner told me of some others. The decision was difficult, and in the end I opted for ox tail (rabo de toro) which was very, very tasty. To wash it down I had a glass of very good red wine. The variety of home-made dishes makes returning a must. All of the other customers seemed equally pleased, and the locals are friendly! A place well worth visiting.

Whilst being on possibly the worst holiday ever we stumbled across Gringo Joe's and this possibly saved us. We visited twice once to watch a football game and have dinner and then again where we took friends from our hotel for dinner. Our first visit was amazing as there were atleast 4 screens with football showing and we had a fillet steak with the most dreamy pepper sauce for only 11euros which was in itself such an amazing deal. The staff were amazing plesent, friendly and helpful. The meal was absolutely incredible especially as we were experiencing such terrible food at our hotel (H.Top Olympic) and this honestly kept us alive. We then visited again with friends from the hotel as we explained how amazing it was and they also needed to be saved from the hotel to which everyone was and agreed how amazing the meal was. Thank you for making some of our holiday something to remember and smike for :) definately worth every penny.
