Came here for an informal business social. We were just grouped on one end of the restaurant/bar, given free drink tickets, listened to just a moment of promotion, & then had a great evening visiting. The bar had locals & they were very friendly & interested in the business of our group, especially since we were from all over the US.

Favorite bar in downtown Brookings. Skinner's is located in a historic building in downtown Brookings. Skinner's is the name of the original department store that inhabited the space. The current owner has undone years of bad renovations and is bringing the space back to its original glory. The bar space is large, has several pool tables, and is always very clean. The back bar is a gorgeous antique. Great place to enjoy a beverage. Food is not served but you are free to pick something up at one of the downtown restaurants and bring it in. It's what a bar should be - darker (i.e., no bright lights) atmosphere with friendly bartenders and excellent happy hour prices. Cozy up to the long bar and enjoy!

We where traveling from Washington,DC in Brooking visiting friends & Family and we stopped to Buffalo Wild Wings in Brookings to grap something to eat.Wings where good, service was good and the over all place was nice.Kids had chicken nuggets & fries and they where not bad at all.It's BWW what can you say!

If you haven't had the fried chicken sandwich, it is worth a try. It comes with an herbed mayo. Sides are separate. We had fried pickle spears and french fries for our sides. Clean restrooms. Easy and accessible parking in downtown area. Great atmosphere.

The burgers are great. We had the mushroom blue cheese burger and the chicken fried sandwich. Each come with sliced fried potatoes. The chips and corn bean salsa are a very good appetizer and they will refill your chips if you ask. TVs in the bar area usually with sports on. Upscale bar and atmosphere. They do have gift cards for purchase. Restrooms available.

My teenage daughter and I dined here on a busy Saturday night before a show. The host and waitress were excellent, offering to "seat us elsewhere" or "bring us something different" if we didn't like our table or our food. I ordered the pesto pasta and my daughter the black and white fettuccine alfredo. Daughter isn't a very adventurous eater and was worried about the black garlic and white truffle ingredients in the alfredo. The flavors were appropriately subtle, however, and she devoured every bite - even though she is typically a light eater with leftovers. I added shrimp to the pesto and it was cooked perfectly. Thank you for a delightful experience!
