Reviews on Pub food in Brighton, England, United Kingdom. Londoners have been traveing to Brighton for beach getaways ever since the railway arrived here in 1841. The pebbled beach, Brighton Pier's amusement arcade and the Royal Pavilion are the main sights, but you'll also find hundreds of pubs and clubs catering to an energetic crowd.

However popular the North Laine becomes, the heart of Brighton will always remain The Lanes themselves. There are plenty of pubs among the twisting narrow streets, but none is as well known as the Bath Arms, which enjoys a reputation among tourists and lo
Yesterday we were out and about in the lanes and decided to find a restaurant for a roast lunch. As we were walking past The Bath Inn we saw the menu and decided to try it. Wish we hadnât bothered. Ruined our fun day as we left feeling ripped off.I had the beef and my husband the lamb. At £16 each we felt it was pricey and expected it to be amazing. What we got was very poor portions and hard vegetables. Roasted new potatoes, rock hard long stem broccoli that we could cut. a tiny spoon of leeks which were well cooked and then the worst uncooked cauliflower with a watery white sauce, no cheese! which Iâve ever had. Meat was fatty and chewy, my husbands lamb was better than the beef and red wine gravy was good but mixed with watery cream sauce turned everything pink. No Yorkshireâs or stuffing or anything extra ! Plain boring and bland, we felt very underwhelmed and ripped off. When complained to the young lady her blunt reply was âI will tell the chefâ. She said this is our summer roast! Simple with no Yorkshireâs! So why so expensive for such poor cooked and small portions? Well Iâve seen lovely pictures of roast beef and Yorkshireâs on your tripadvisor site but this did not represent what we had yesterday. We will not be back and would like some of our money back for inedible food!Hi Emma,Thank you for your review. We are sad to hear that you were disappointed with your Sunday lunch yesterday. We have recently switched to our summer roast and appreciate your feedback. We are very sorry that you did not enjoy your visit and that the situation wasnât dealt with better. Please donât hesitate to contact us at [email protected] so we can resolve the situation. All the best,The Bath Arms

Really hard to fault, service was great, food was amazing and prices extremely reasonable. I ordered the pancakes with bacon and pineapple but they were out of pancakes so instead he made me French toast. It was absolutely amazing and very generous portions, unfortunately I wouldn't finish it all. Would definitely recommend and would definitely return!

This place had everything i like in a pub, great well kept beer (in this case I drank the "HSB" one of my all-time favourites), friendly staff, a bunch of happy 'locals' .... then they had "Mussels" on the menu, they were plump and tasty with just the correct amount of wine/cream so as not to overpower the food. I also spotted "Blanquette de Limoux" on the wine list, this, in my opinion, is a stunning fizzy white and is rarely available.

Busby and Wilds is a family owned, neighborhood public house, which prides itself on its quality of ingredients; all freshly prepared to order. We have a love of Food and Drink, all at a reasonable price in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
I visited Busby and Wilds for a Sunday roast, having heard great things about their Sunday food- and I came away with mixed feelings. We were seated immediately (having booked) but our table by the door wasnât that great for one of our party who was disabled (she kept on having to get up to let people out). In addition, the service was extreeeeeemely slow.. the lady who served us was super friendly and nice, but in all it took over 3 hours for us to have a main course and dessert. This was fine at the time as it was lovely to catch up with my friends, but I certainly wouldnât have been pleased if the food hadnât been so good! I would say that this was the best roast Iâve had in Brighton, and the price wasnât all too different from any other pub- so would absolutely recommend on this front.100% would go again, in the hope that we wouldnât have so wait so long and the roast incident was a one off, but not a great experience from a time keeping perspective! I apologies to Laura that the service was disappointing, we always try our hardest and occasionally fail- this was a very rare Sunday that I personally had taken off and perhaps the staff got slightly busier than we expected. An email to express your concerns could have been dealt with in a much more productive way and something that I could have personally looked in to and tried to recompense. Please notify on booking any seating requirements as a table plan is made for the whole day and very hard to change last minute.

Great little wine cafe in downtown Brighton. As an Italian wine freak I'm usually disappointed in the selection and expected the same from a wine cafe in England. I mean beer is really the focus for the country after all. Was I in for a surprise. Luca and Megan were so helpful and friendly and their choice was spot on. Not expensive to break the bank AND good enough in flavor and body to make even me happy!! Tapas were also great. Friendly place and I'd go again if I'm ever in Brighton again!! Cheers!!

You could easily miss this little pub but shame on you if you do. The friendliest little place in town. Miss B's Sunday roast is sublime. Firstly, the veggie option is a homemade nut roast;I'm sick of pubs offering pastry ('cause you really need carbs with your carbs). You get a pot of cheese sauce, a jug of gravy and a really generous amount of food. Neil is the eccentric friendly host that keeps everything running smoothly and happily.

Pub and kitchen based in the Preston Park area of Brighton, serving locally sourced and freshly cooked British cuisine.
I met my sister (and dog) for lunch at The Station and was instantly impressed with the spotless surroundings, and friendly welcome. We chose to share a selection of the Bar Snacks and these were bar snacks par excellence....I am still dreaming about the Ragu and Mash. The food was sublime and I cannot wait to visit again - this time for their Sunday lunch which I am sure will be second to none. Thank you for a lovely Wednesday lunch!
