A friendly local Pub in Brigg with a sweeping array of delicious drinks and some scrumptious food. We have over 35 Gins and a great selection of Cask Ales and Draught Lagers & Ciders to choose from.
Went to the Black Bull yesterday in expectation of having a portion of their lovely steak pie. When we got there we were told that they no longer serve food. What a disappointment, particularly when food is still being advertised on their website.

Where to eat Indian food in Brigg: The Best Restaurants and Bars

On the Friday before Christmas ('Black Friday') I was away from home with a friend and we were staying in the market town of Brigg, all around us were people celebrating the forthcoming festivities, but we wanted a meal in comfort and be able to hear ourselves think, so we decided to visit nearby Wrawby and the first establishment we found was fully booked, but the second was The Black Horse. On entering the bar we felt the welcoming atmosphere, enquired about the availability of food to which there was a positive response and ordered some drinks; my friend had a pint of real ale (I cannot remember the name but I think it was York Brewery 'Snowflake') which he said was very tasty, as I was driving I had to stick with Mineral water! We had a choice between food from the menu or visit the carvery, the latter was our choice; we both chose the beef, which was excellently cooked. My concern with a carvery is that the vegetables are over-cooked, but this was just right as they all had a great taste and looked appetising as well. I think that the price was £7.95, which is very good value. We were tempted to indulge in a dessert, we both selected a lemon steamed pudding with custard, perfect comfort food when away from home and loved-ones.Members of staff were all very helpful and concerned about how we were enjoying our meals and have been well trained in customer service by the landlord and his wife.I thoroughly recommend The Black Horse, a fabulous meal in very pleasant surroundings, I just wish the pub was my local!

Went here for a lunch time meal with some work colleagues on a business lunch. How embarrassing as had seen some great photos advertising delicious food. How wrong could you get with that one.... The food was horrendous. We were served chips that had obviously been cooked the day before and then warmed up in a microwave. The sandwich fillings were non-existent. This is such a shame as prior to the pub being taken over by The Brit Kitchen it was a fantastic place to eat and we ate there on a regular basis. The Brit Kitchen has to be the worst place I have eaten in Brigg and would definitely not be going back there. Plenty of great places to eat in Brigg so will be avoiding this one

The Thai food here is truly incredible! Stumbled across the Thai menu whilst going for Sunday lunch and was really impressed with what was served. We ordered starters, Penang and Massaman curries for mains and it was like being in Thailand. Would definitely recommend.
