Visited on a Friday evening and not a huge crowd. We both had steaks. Mine was cooked perfectly (med rare). My husband's was a little too pink for a true medium rare. Having said that, both steaks were delicious and we served quickly. Our server Scott was super helpful and kept a close eye on us without hovering. I highly suggest the mashed maple sweet potatoes. So good!!

Was in town moving my niece into her apartment and neesed some food. We went down here cause we would be appropriate in our moving attire. Not the best wings I've had. Too much sauce and not alot of flavor. The atmosphere was the best part.

Went in this place in 2018 and it sucked. Went back in 2019 because every other bar was closed. $3.00 dollar Manhattan's, great service, and good bar food. The interior of this bar is beautiful. Very old and rustic. But the background music that they blast at you is horrid ! Unless you are in to gangster rap. Did not see one gang banger but you sure felt as if you should be packin . The music does not fit the atmosphere.

We had a pleasant surprise at Function Brewing in Bloomington. Our family was looking for a place to sit and have a quick light supper before departing for home. Function Brewing was exactly what we wanted. It had a variety of food choices, drink choices and a quiet atmosphere that was conducive to conversation. We will definitely be back!

Service was good , food was good. Nice selections of local beers. Fries with mayonnaise dipping sauce were excellent. The entertainment, however, was awful. The male played guitar rather well & sang ok. The female was terrible. Distracting with a absolutely horrible voice. When she tried to hit a high note it was mind numbing & ear piercing.

Right outside the Sample Gates at IU, Nick's has been a local institution for decades. We went for lunch, and sat in one of many booths with colorful lighting and memorabilia on the walls. The service was fast and good, and the food was just what we'd hoped for. A big, juicy burger and onion rings for my daughter, and a BLT with fresh ingredients for me. We loved the unique flavor of the bbq wings, and will try the yummy-looking pizza next time. A great sense of local flavor and fun!

If you canât make it to Ireland, do the next best thing! A true public house experience and a Bloomington tradition since 1982, The Irish Lion Restaurant & Pub is in a restored historic 1882 tavern, a 1/2 block west of the square in the heart of downtown
Three of us ate here when Farm was closed for the July 4 holiday. Our friend assured us how good the food was but I found it lacking on all fronts. We had what they call call Irish soda bread to start but it wasnât even vaguely like the soda bread we have in Boston or any other places Iâve been either. It was just Carmel colored thin sliced bread with no raisins. For dinner I had the duck with stuffing and baked apple. The duck was rather blah and needed seasoning. The skin wasnât crispy and the baked apple wasnât even cooked. My companions liked their meals but werenât overly enthusiastic.
