We had dinner here on a Saturday evening as our nearby hotel had no restaurant.The decor and atmosphere are relaxing and interesting as you can see the brewing vats and paraphernalia of the brewery.The friendly staff took our orders quickly and enjoyed battling with our feeble French language capability, we ordered a variety of burgers and one of the house beers made in the micro brewery on site.The quality of food and beer was excellent, service was rapid and we felt the restaurant offered good value too. I would return here to dine.

We were 125 strong from Canada. On a Vimy Ridge memorial excursion. Out of all the restaurants that we'd eaten thus far, this was the first one that actually gave us yummy food, in decent portions. We wound up eating here two nights in a row. While the food wasn't that of a 5 star restaurant, what they accomplished over those 2 nights for our "small" group, was nothing short of astonishing. Hats off to the owners. Job well done. Recommended. We'll be returning if we're ever in the same area again. :)

we washed up at this cafe on a night that a neighbouring restaurant, fleur de sel, let us down horribly - you can read my diatribe about them elsewhere! but while la halle couldn't offer us a meal, it being sunday and every single restaurant in the place being closed, they did offer kindness and concern and at least a very good plate of cheese and saucisson to go with our drinks. and when we discovered a frites van nearby were totally happy to let us buy another round of drinks and sit on their terrace eating our chips, enjoying late september warmth and the lit up belfry, right in front of us. the day was saved by their hospitality. if we were ever in bethune again i'd go there to see if the food could live up to their snacks, and their welcome.

Je m'attendais à mieux. L'ambiance est sympa et la bouffe correcte (une brasserie quoi). Par contre le service... Très moyen et peu professionnelC'est vraiment ce qui m'a gâché mon déjeuner. Les petites jeunes ne savent pas y faire, le placement à une table et la prise de commande à tarder et le service à table était médiocreDommage car sinon c'est un lieu propice pour passer un déjeuner sans prise de tête

Cadre intimiste et service de très grande qualité.Les plats sont copieux et excellents.Juste la radio comme musique de fond qui serait à changer, selon moi, pour quelque chose plus lounge
