The Five Bells is a beautiful 400-year-old pub in the village of Cople. Traditional English and Spanish food is served. Open fire, patio area and garden
Having worked late we decided to eat here and the dining area was empty apart from one couple.I ordered a avocado and pickled cucumber salad to start. When it came the avocado had been peeled with a peeler as it was so hard and unripe. They had the cheek to think a customer is going to attempt to eat a hard rubbery avocado!I sent it back to be informed they hadn't had their delivery of avocados today....??They offered to swap it with another starter, but I wasn't prepared to wait as my partner was nearly finishing.I requested they remove the under ripe avocado and replace it with more beetroot and cucumber. When it came back they just removed most of the avocado and didn't remake it or add extras. The cucumber was just drenched in oil and vinegar and it wasn't pleasant to eat. When the bill came they tried to charge me the full price. Then they just knocked off £2The rest of the meals were average and not worth typing about. When we got back home our clothes smelt of old oil which was lingering around the restaurant.Needless to say- we won't be returning. We are very sorry to hear that your visit was less than satisfactory. Although we make every effort to maintain our standards, we are sensitive to the fact that each of our diners has their own preferences in how their food should be served. We must accept that all our dishes may not be to everone's taste; however, we feel that a price reduction is not justified on this count. We do hope to fulfil your expectations should you decide visit us again

Fresh Food served everyday, including a tradtional Carvery and full menu options including steaks, salads, pizza, pasta, burgers, BBQ ribs, traditional pub favorites like liver, bacon and onion, steak & ale pie, fish & chips, kids meals and much more. Fun
We had a carvery lunch here last Saturday and I was surprised to find the place almost empty. Without specifying any beer in particular I ordered a pint of lager and when I got the bill I noticed the young barmaid had given me the one that costs over £5 a pint. Okay so she's probably been told to do that by the management. The food was okay. The options were beef, ham and turkey. The main problem with it was it wasn't hot. Just barely warm. After we paid our bill we said goodbye to the two staff as you do (a young man and the young barmaid) who had spent nearly our entire time there standing at the counter in deep conversation. They didn't even look up. I thought they probably didn't hear me so I said it again a little louder as we headed for the door. This time they both looked up and gave me a weird look like I had rudely disturbed their little chat. They didn't acknowledge us in any way and got back to chatting. All in all not a great experience.Hello, we are sorry that you were unhappy with your visit. Usually when a customer asks for a lager without specifying which one, we will give them an Estrella as this is the most popular one which costs £4.90.I am sorry to hear the food wasn't up to our usual standard & I would like to invite you back to give us an opportunity to show you that your experience is not the norm. Also our staff are usually praised for their customer service so again sorry this wasn't the case for you, we have highlighted this to them so it is not repeated in future. If you would like to discuss in more detail what went wrong and how we can rectify this for you, please contact me directly on [email protected]. Best Wishes, Manager.

Went last Sunday for a traditional SundY roast with friends. Had a warm welcome and good service. The food was very good and came hot with fresh vegetables, Yorkshire pudding and plenty of meat. The pate to start was tasty and puddings yummy. Ambiance good too.

Summer Soltice means wedding anniversary. So needed good food welcoming atmosphere and music to dance too. Well we got all of this at Tre Fratelli last night. Simone was there to welcome us and the whole evening went just as we wanted. We actually took 4 friends who had a great time. Sofia Soul was excellent. Staff were attentive which added to the experience. Well done again for making our celebration a memorable experience.

Friendly greeting, helpful staff, beautiful food. Exceptional in every way. Unexpected and interesting amuse bouche; goat's cheese starter with apricots, beetroot crisps, etc. was full of contrasting textures and flavours. We had ordered our main course in advance and it came exactly as we had hoped. Accompanying vegetables were cooked perfectly, and exquisitely presented. Pannacotta was light, smooth and a perfect end to the meal. Coffee was flavoursome without being bitter. Perfection? Yes, a wonderful evening.

We havenât visited here for a long time and we have been missing out. There is a great atmosphere even in very busy restaurant. The quality of the food is excellent. Portions are perfectly sized and full of flavor, we were able to enjoy 3 courses without feeling too full. The warm chocolate orange tart was to die for. Will definitely be returning soon.
