We brought friends here who were visiting from Texas. Weâd finished a carriage ride and were all hot & sweaty & thirsty. This seemed like a good place to cool down. We ordered some snacks - mozzarella sticks w/marinara (only fair), conch fritters (rubbery), southeast egg rolls(meh) and onion rings (excellent). And the beer was ice cold. The place could use a thorough cleaning though - especially the bathroom. If youâre just looking for a place to sit at the bar and have a few drinks, this should do fine.

I have had lunch and a beer at the Cat Island Pub and Grill a number of times after a round of golf at Sanctuary Golf Club. It is what you expect- decent food, good beer selection, friendly service and reasonable prices. Nothing fancy, but fine.

Hidden gem on ICW. Nightly value specials including steaks, hamburgers, etc. takes a while but worth the wait with great views and drinks.

Wow! Ryan's has remodeled and has so much more room for seating. Good food as always. I enjoyed wings while my friend chose soup and salad . Good food, good service.

If you want a drink at 10:00 a.m., this is your spot with full bar service. We went to eat an early lunch. Ordered a beef burger and a shrimp burger. My friend, who's very picky about hamburgers, said his was "good". My shrimp burger was heavy on the breading which overpowered the shrimp. Wait staff was very friendly. Won't be going back to eat.

Came in for lunch before the storm hit on 19 April. Excellent French Onion soup and She Crab soup. Tuna salad sandwich very good. My wife loved her Mufffalata. âBest five bar in downtown Beaufortâ to quote the owner. Highly recommend Hemingwayâs. Would like to have stayed longer if it werenât for the approaching storm. Thank you for taking time to review Hemingwayâs! We are so glad you enjoyed our house made soups and sandwiches. The muffalata is a customer favorite and I like to think we have the best she crab soup downtown! Come have a drink at night and hang with the locals for that true dive bar feel! See yâall next time!

Knowledgeable and funny and her recommendations were spot on. Conversation was light, funny and timed right food came out hot, and very fast. Beer is ice cold! Portions were huge and you wonât leave hungry! Would highly recommend to anyone with a mouth! Food was awesome!

Wren Bistro and Bar is a locally owned and operated restaurant and bar that features an ever evolving menu for both lunch and dinner. The kitchen uses delicious locally caught seafood, great cuts of steak, juicy chicken, and tasty pasta dishes. The portio
We live in Beaufort and give Wren a try every couple of years hoping they will get it together, but I just don't think it will ever happen. It's like a restaurant in the Atlanta airport - it stays in business because of people passing through (tourists). It they had to depend on locals, it would have closed years ago. Today's twisted caesar salad had cabbage in it - now that's quite a twist, and I have a hard time understanding how anyone could think cabbage belongs in a caesar. I doubt it was "artistic license" on the part of the chef; more likely, just some slacker tossing whatever green stuff they could find in the bowl. The only thing caesar about that salad was the dressing. My dining companion's fish and chips would be more appropriately named breading and chips. Another's chicken sandwich was just OK. I think we are truly done there. Beaufort has too many other choices now. Chik Fil A beats Wren by a mile in terms of food, service, absolutely everything! Next time, we will go there and save a ton of money and have a really good lunch.
