Discover Restaurants offering the best Pub food in Bath, England, United Kingdom. Known for its restorative wonders, Bath was once the home of Jane Austen. Sure, you could attempt to conjure up this elegant city by reading Pride and Prejudice in your tub, but as Bath has a lot more history than your bathroom (we assume, anyway) you'd be missing out. A stroll through Bath is like visiting an open-air museum, with roughly 5,000 buildings in the city drawing notice for their architectural merit. After your stroll, soak in the natural hot waters of the Thermae Bath Spa, once a favorite of the Celts and Romans.

Great traditional British Pub - probably could do with a bit of a revamp but the food was excellent and the bar prices reasonable. We were recommended to eat here by another Pub nearby which had stopped serving food that day. Lovely barmaid and nothing too much trouble, service super, fresh food, served quickly, A starter, two mains, two beers and two glasses of wine - £41.75p.......Would eat here again no problem!

The Salamander is great city-centre pub. 'The Sally' serves good food and a fine choice of beers from Bath Ales and beyond, and welcomes a friendly, eclectic audience. It's small, it's snug but it's oh so special! The Salamander is tucked neatly away just
We visited the Salamander on a Tuesday night and loved the place. Itâs a quirky three storey, modern British pub but still retains the charm of older, smaller pubs (the TV near our table was disguised in a gold picture painting frame). Loads of space and fantastic food, we ordered the âsignatureâ steak and ale pie and it was delicious. Hearty and filling, lots of steak inside the pastry. A highlight of our visit was the dedicated, helpful and cheery service we received from Lotte, our waitress. Lotte went above and beyond our expectations, customising our meal and requesting extras in a to-and-fro quest with the chef. What a delightful person, an asset to the business. If the manager reads this, give Lotte a raise!

As a family we have eaten many times at the gpt, and the roast dinner is amazing. We booked for midday as we were a table of 12..and we were not disappointed!! Portion size, brilliant. Staff were amazing and very friendly. My wife loved the gravy that much that she bought some and is now in the freezer awaiting our next roast at home. The burgers are delicious as well.Highly recommended.

I've just come in with a couple of kids who were mid-tantrum. Despite this, the staff couldn't have been more welcoming. They even helped to calm my kids down.
