I really really liked the ambiance in this place. It is cheerful, colorful, it just makes you happy. I went for lunch, so there was no live entertainment. The food was ok. But the whole experience was great. Also our waiter was really attentive and helpful. He took the time to take so many pictures for us.

I love beer, so this was an obligated stop. Besides it was a few blocks away from the hotel.The staff was very friendly. They explained that half of their beer menu was unavailable due to season outage. The quality and craftsmanship of their beer was very impressive.The bummer is the food. It's your typical bar food. Bufallo Grill is well located in Carrera 51, in the middle of restaurants and hotels area. The place looks small from outside, but is big enough and comfortable. The place is relatively simple but nice. The menu is focused in grill meat (beef and chicken), but there is also other options. However, the menu is not very wide. People is nice and friendly, but the service is basic and relatively slow. Prices are Ok, but is not cheap. The price-value proposition is good. We ate twice this past week at Hot. It is a combination of 4-5 different restaurants in 1. A very unique concept where they have an Italian/Pizza menu, Mexican menu, Colombian, Seafood and steak, a kids menu...they have it all it seems. The prices are reasonable and the food better than expected for such a concept. The place has a lot of servers on all sides...but it seems there are more than needed and many of them stand around talking to each other versus checking on their customers. But...since they are young and this is a good training ground for service people, I won't deduct a star for that. They also have alcoholic beverages. I see they have multiple locations in the city as well.We particularly enjoyed their Quesadillas with Chicken. Second visit had a great seafood pasta. They also have a kids playground outside for families.

For fast food it was adequate, however we normally avoid fast food places. I must have missed the description that said it was fast food! Having lived in Texas and Mexico it was disappointing. It was convenient for our hotel though. The fajitas tasted as if they were cooked in a wok with a sweet sauce, rather than grilled. The mixed plate was almost all fried food. Not cheap either. Beer was twice the price of every other restaurant/cafe we have been to in Barranquilla.

I'm very picky when it comes to food. From a wrongly advertised menu to a discourteous action by a staff, my meal could be easily ruined. What a pleasant discovery this place was! Their Peruvian oriented menu was ridiculously good, so I started with a "Tuna Tataki" that set my dinner on a perfect direction. The "Mote de Queso" was my first entree, and I followed up with an "Aji de Gallina" and a delicious "Ensalada de Frutos". Their generous portions were a hit and my whole meal, a fantastic and memorable choice! To be sincere, I couldn't eat anymore, was happily satisfied at that point... but the next day I had to try their "Tacu Tacu de Lomo Salteado" the name was so funky! It was most definitely, another great decision!

I had the "Mick Jagger" sandwich and my girlfriend had "El Beso". Both were phenomenal. However, what really impressed us were the "Burbujas" (flavored sparkling water). They were the best execution of flavored sparkling water we have experienced. We also had to try their milkshake, of course. We went with the Baileys one. Unless you have an enormous appetite, I wouldn't try to eat one of these on your own. I could not believe how many brownie bites they fit in there, yet still had room for lots of ice scream with Baileys, chocolate, and whipped cream. A bit pricey, but definitely worth the splurge for our last night in Barranquilla.
