Just stopped for a coffee on our way through. Experienced a really nice and warm welcome by a very charming long-haired waiter. We decided to get some bottles from the home-made oil. Meanwhile we can confirm that it tastes really delicious. The restaurant is in a very calm area of Styria and I assume that they live from tourists who come for biking, hiking and go to the thermal bath nearby. Maybe even some pilgrims would stop there for lunch. Even busses could park there easily as there is a huge parking area just beside the garden which is placed in front of the famous observation tower from Auffen ;-) I would definitely recommend to stop there whenever you are near ...

Nett eingerichtetes Dorfwirtshaus in dem man durchaus ausgezeichnet essen kann. Die Speisekarte ist zwar nicht ewig lang, aber die Gerichte darauf sind alle vorzüglich. Das Personal ist freundlich und flink. Klare Empfehlung!

The reason we went there : a birthday on Monday when everything else around is closed. Very clean restaurant with nice cloth napkins and good but not romantic or charming atmosphere. There is an evening menue which sounds nice and most of it was very nice. Beef tartare was nice and hand cut - portion was not too big but in my opinion too much of the Fink vinegar veggies for deco. It is daring to offer Sepia and shrimp so far in the country side - but it was okay. I really liked the service, one of the owners worked himself that evening. Funny enough the signature dish of the region, a pumpkin seed oil salad with fried chicken was the least appealing (no vinegar in dressing and fried too long). I would definetely recommend the restaurant if you are in the area but do not expect michelin stars, good solid cooking trying to please all kinds of guests. - Service is once again very attentive and in my opinion on a higher level than the foods served, but very good for food is still way above average.

Itâs a very nice bakery. A lot of breakfast options. Portions are very big. Food is fresh and very tasty. Coffee is amazing here. Each Friday is eclair day. Itâs better to make a reservation in advance.
