Only been in once and wonât be back as it is extortionate. Wine prices are on par with Central London. This is Ayr. Never been back and never will. EXTREMELY FAKE INFOFat Bob, as customer clearly you can vote with your feet/thumbs but next time out your glasses on and post reviews when you're sober. I note you really enjoyed the Meridian? We are in fact cheaper for our wine than The Meridian albeit only slightly. Believe me, I should know. Muppet

Popped in for just a coffee during shopping . The pener came over very polite and making conversation. Brought us coffee and tbh it put costa to shame. Best coffee ive had in town. Been in before for meals and every time same service and food has always been lovely

Great wee find on our visit to Ayr. The kind of place that you would be delighted if it was your local. Landlord and staff incredibly friendly, hard working and welcoming. Good beer and selection of drinks. Great menu for food at lunchtime. We will be back!

poor disinterested service. no dogs in the bar. No food available from the bar. Restaurant food can't be served in the beer garden. Ordered J2O for my wife, didn't do them. Bought a pint of something that looked like it might be beer but tasted like fizzy vinegar - usually a sign that the cellar isn't kept at the right temperature. I poured it away on the grass, hope it survives. Overall a terrible place to drink and an impossible one to get food from, and an indictment of Ayr's general failure to cater for tourists, who would be better off staying away.

Cafe-bar serving a variety of meals for all tastes and budgets. Children welcome. Pool table/jukebox/free wifi/dogs welcome. Stella only £2 per pint.
Only started coming here a few months ago but now I'm a regular even the bartenders know what I'm gonna have to drink as soon as I walk in. Jen is extremely nice to everyone and is good to have a joke with though she does take your hat if she knows you but it great value for money drinks are cheap quiz nights are always funny 5 stars well earnedThank you so much for a fantastic review Rhys, we're incredibly proud of our quiz, our pub, and indeed our Staff. Jen has been getting a lot of good reviews lately. She's proving herself an absolute integral part of our team. We know we'll be seeing you soon.Thank you again, Peach Schnapps and Lemonade, coming right up ;)

"It is more predominantly known locally as a bar but also has a lot of restaurant dining space".
This bar was right next to out hotel, with prices 1/2 of the hotel we came here every night on our stay in Ayr, staff not the friendliest I have to say but were at least fast at serving.it is pretty big inside, nice conservatory at the back, had music on a couple of nights, my one complaint is warm beer, when they are busy the bottled beer isn't in the cooler long enough.

Meridian is a bright, spacious and central cafe, bar & bistro that serves contemporary food and stylish cocktails in chic cosmopolitan surroundings.
I took my friend here yesterday for her birthday and what a disappointment first we both ordered starters which my friend was given hers when she was about finished I had to ask for mine the reply was oh did you order soup Iâll just get it for you once we were finished they cleared our plates in which time we waited 30 mins and still no sign of our main meal my friend went to the toilet and could see that the salad she had ordered was sitting and the chef was putting the fries onto the plate with his bare hands finally when my friend came back from the toilet we waited another 10 mins before going to the staff and saying we no longer wanted the food the staff told us it was just about ready but we knew it had been sitting so said no thank you we have waited long enough and would just pay for the food we had eaten they did apologize and told us we didnât have to pay but we certainly wonât be back it was really annoying that I was treating my friend to a birthday lunch and thought we we were going somewhere nice but how wrong was I. NONSENSE LORRAINERead this, then picture the person writing it. Thats what we are up against every now and again. The vast majority of our customers are fantastic but occasionally you get some really difficult ones. We do our best even in those circumstances but you're fighting a losing battle sometimes. As the saying goes...empty vessels make the most noise!
