We were staying in Montriond so this place was our end of day bar. Music loud & pumping, drinks great and atmosphere buzzing. We hired our ski gear from their on site shop too, great kit and so easy with being able to drop gear off, normal footwear on and bar. Main watch out is the last bus is at 6pm which is such a shame as you don't want to leave by then...but you sort of need to! we didn't eat but food looked amazing!

The Kinkerne is a unique, family friendly restaurant and apres ski bar. It is a great alternative to the busy Morzine and Avoriaz restaurants and bars, providing a genuine, relaxed atmosphere.
Great bar to finish the day at, and as a bonus they were happy for me to âborrowâ lots of ornaments from the tree for my snowman! Beer is good, atmosphere is chilled perfect for post skiing energy revival

At the Chapka, enjoy an incredibly tasty burger in a revisited mountain pub atmosphere. And do not miss any sport event thanks the restaurant's screens.
You will see from all my other reviews, that I am not a winger !This has to be the worst bar I have ever had the misfortune to visit. It was purely out of convenience that we went there at all, as it was a 2 minute walk away.Being in the central residential area of Avoriaz, we would have expected at the least, half decent service. The first time we visited, we went directly into the bar and ordered over the counter....... The attitude from the waitress was one of distain ..... how dare I order a drink over the bar and pay for it ?We thought this could be a one off, so, to give the place another chance, we went in after we had finished skiing today [about 4pm]. There were 6 tables of customers outside, in an area that probably had 25 tables. The waitress passed us at least six times and did not even acknowledge us being there in all that time. We waited a further 10 minutes ..... and nothing. Waitresses walking around in a day dream, with not a care in the world about customers. My advice is .......... simply DONâT BOTHER ! They certainly arenât !Dear Client,Thank you for taking the time to share your comments with us. We apologize for your disappointment about the reception and service you experienced. The facts you describe do absolutely not match with the image we wish for our restaurant. Be assured that your comments have been taken into account and that we will do our best to improve the quality of our service. We hope to regain your trust on the occasion of your next visit. Kind regards, LE CHAPKA Avoriaz' team.
As a family with 1 vegan, 2 vegetarians and 1 dairy free, it is pretty impossible to eat on the mountain, but Why Not was great - nothing too much trouble. Great vegan burger and vegetarian pizza without cheese. Great friendly staff as well

La Folie Douce is a great concept and we have visited many times before. I am a fan.Stopped for lunch and we had fantastic food the best quality in Avoriaz and the surrounding mountain restaurants. Not the cheapest but the best value. For food 5 stars excellent. Then we popped in for the apres ski a couple of times. The main issue is that the more established La Folie Douce have set a high bar.We went with high expectations. Of course La Folie Douce Avoriaz has instantly become number one for apres ski in Avoriaz but the competition was almost non existent. However by Folie Douce standards it is work in progress. The overall experience was not helped as this was the first season in Avoriaz. I guess many of the people enjoying the apres ski at La Folie Douce were first timers and took a while to join in the spirit. Compared to our previous visits to other Las Folie Douce something was missing as I said it could have been the crowds reaction but the violin the singing and the mixing were not exceptional and the music could have been a bit louder. If you go get involved. Thank you for taking the time to review us and to share your experience. We take good note in your comment in order to get always better ;)

Fresh beer and fresh food
Our chalet staff recommended and booked this forward and initially a bit disappointed as looking for traditional mountain far, but how wrong could I be. We ordered a number of dishes to share and were all absolutely spot on, one of the best meals Iâve had in the alps. Add to that some decent beers and very reasonably priced wine (cheaper than the chalet honesty bar) and canât go wrong. Simply awesome! Will be returning when next in Morzine.

Service was excellent and the chap was really friendly. Ordered a coffee and his banter made us stay for lunch.Moved us around the corner to a better table to eat at.Reblochon burger was good. Not the best, but good. Chips were excellent.Coffee was strong and fresh. Recommended for a lunch stop, especially for groups.

Weâd passed it a couple of times skiing across into Switzerland, with Avoriaz rammed we skied over for lunch. What a great choice.Sat outside in the sun, the place was heaving, beef bourguignon, dauphinois potato & green salad was plat du jour - the servers were flying, taking ordered, serving, settling up - a real feat to behold. We had the plat du jour & a beer, it arrived faster than weâd expected and was fabulous.A real winner in all fronts

If youâre looking for a light and flavourful piste-side snack - look no further than La Tanière, across from the top of Prodains. Whether youâre feeling like pizza or crepes or homemade tarts - theyâve got you covered! Iâve not been quite hungry enough yet to try the « formule du jour » but the portions are generous and it always looks great. Try their delish Savoyarde pizza if you are wanting something with a local touch!
