We were staying in the Resort and decided on this restaurant for its menu we saw on Resort website as my son has allergies and the kids choices seemed suitable and for the close proximity to our hotel room. When we arrived ,The menu didnât have any side orders and only a few choices nothing like the advertised menu on website where we made our decision We made our choices and we were pleasantly surprised when they arrived , the food was very well presented and very enjoyable.Service was okay but the language barrier was an issue and feel servers and managers should speak English more fluently for a better overall experience.

The Scottish Steakhouse is located within the Macdonald Spey Valley Resort in Aviemore. We are passionate about great food, service, value and most of all, outstanding steak. Simple ingredients, cooked to perfection by talented chefs. True to our Scottish
Enjoyed our meal here when visiting MacDonald Spey Valley Resort.. Disappointed there was no smoked salmon starter left but enjoyed the prawn cocktail. The blackpudding scotch eggs were also great. Ribeye steak and beef bourginon were also excellent and no deserts were required. The atmosphere was great with fire burning and twinkling lights and the staff were to be commended for their service. We also enjoyed the Scottish Music after dinner, a shame it wasn't better supported.
This Bar/Restaurant is on the Aviemore Holiday Park and the food is excellent and at very reasonable prices. We've been here quite a few times now and not been dis-appointed with any meal. It's all home made food, including the sweets/puddings and is served in the very large cosy bar. This time of year is very cosy as they have a large log fire roaring away with a couple of sofa's near the fire for you to relax on before and after your meal. Being only a five minute walk from the centre of Aviemore, or there is plenty of car parking spaces, makes it an ideal location for your meal and a drink. We'll be back again, soon.

We stayed at this resort and expected high prices and low offerings but were pleasantly surprised as the restuarant was lovely with friendly staff, good food and prices lower than expected for a captive clientele. The Macdui burger and fish and chips were excellent. There was a Scottish style entertainer Stewart Aderson who provided typical Scottish music and banter. A good night in a nice place. Only criticism was the waitress did not check if more drinks were wanted and cleared empty glasses , we had to go to bar between dishes to get more drinks with no offer to deliver the glasses to the table..

Boat Bistro & Bar. There are few places in the Cairngorm National park where food, wine and location come together as beautifully as The Boat Bistro, we showcase rustic and seasonal fare and re-imagined classics, featuring vegetables, fruits and herbs gro
Having read the reviews my wife and I and two friends were apprehensive about a visit, but were presently suprised to find a warm welcome and tasty food albeit with a tint table more suited to 2 than 4, however the food was delicious haggis pakora hit the spot and the salmon fillet was superb. Highly recommended!

Great atmosphere from a packed pub Live music had a heavy metal rock band who were loud but entertaining. Bar staff served well considering it was three deep at the bar not much eye candy for the boys as it was 90% blokes. Highlight for me was the guitarist and vocalist playing happy birthday to you for my mate in the heaviest base possible worth a visit been before and will most likely return.

The Old Bridge Inn, Aviemore, offers a roaring log fire and cheerful atmosphere along with excellent food and a fine selection of cask ales and malt whiskies. It has always been a favourite haunt for those who enjoy the outdoors, while friendly staff and
Popped in for a few drinks on the way back to our hotel. In the main, the staff were pleasant although one chap was a little abrupt whereas the others all seemed to be enjoying their jobs.I'm not sure I would want to eat here though as I witnessed a few of the team petting dogs and handling a water bowl for dogs and they didn't appear to wash their hands before handling food and drinks.

This is a fairly traditional restaurant - nothing fancy, but certainly clean and with attentive and pleasant staff. The menu has a good choice and the portion size was generous. The food was tasty and we both enjoyed every bight. The only thing I could find issue with was that the chips could have done with a little longer in the fryer! We enjoyed our meal and felt it was maybe just a little over-priced for what it is, although not excessively so.I'd definitely recommend and would return.
