Although a bit disappointed, because they didn't have some of the specialities that we were looking for, the ones that they actually had were very good. Delicious deserts. I recommend the cabrito for main course and the tarte de requeijão for desert. With wine, 25 euros each, a bit high, but worth it! The service, although nice and professional, fail to help us choose the wine. Apart from that, pretty good!

We visited this restaurant because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor. What a disappointment! Service was very impersonal. We were halfway our starter when the main dish was seved. The vegetarian dish was really below standard. Within 45 minutes we were already outside. Not a place to be recomended.

We came for the Piri Piri Chicken and it was just fantastic! Cooked perfectly and oh so good! If you are in Tomar and are looking for an exceptional dining experience, then you must eat at this place. It is an experience that may be the culinary highlight of all of Tomar.Of course they have a nice wine selection, wonderful service, and prices are very reasonable. Highly recommended!

In the center of Portugal, 4 km from Castelo de Bode Dam, the restaurant has panoramic balcony overlooking the river, rooms with fireplace, meeting area, summer garden, access to the lake. Natural environment. Private park. Traditional Portuguese food, es
We took some friends visiting from Germany to this restaurant. Our friends are gourmets and really know a lot of very upmarket restaurants world-wide. They were very taken with Sabor da Pedra. The food was excellent, the venue itself is fantastic with great views, wonderfully decorated. What impressed us most was the staff, obviously professionally trained and attentive to our needs. Great care was taken in explaining the dishes to us in English, although we speak Portuguese, but don´t know all the culinary expressions! And talk about value for money! All in all, we wholeheartedly recommend this place for a great meal while visiting the otherwise so underrated Centro de Portugal.

Very good snacks ("petiscos") and very friendly staff (especially the owner). Very reasonable prices. They serve draft dark and pale beer. Some recommended "petiscos" are: snails ("caracóis"), rice blood sausage ("morcela de arroz") and small pieces of fried steak("pica-pau"). There are two rooms and the esplanade, all with TV sets. Very crowded with local people. Reservation recommended. Situate in the old town.

Was told by hotel room I try the restaurant. Nice selections and reasonable. Try the cod and pork dish. Both were good! Wine is cheap and good and desserts are wonderful. We had dinner, salad, bread and olives and dessert for under 50 euros.

Very nice set up with all the candles. The waiters were really friendly and welcoming. Everyone spoke very good English. The frog legs were not easy to eat as the dough was thicker than the legs. The vegetarian dish was ok, funny and interesting taste, but a bit too dry. The knuckle of pork with cabbage was one of the best ever! We had a nice experience.

Typical and authentic food, on this restaurant you eat like home, since the meal til dessert, home made. Please, come and see for your self. See you soon.
Owners and waitress that treat you as if you were their most beloved relative, excellent food, great atmosphere. Unfortunately we need to leave Tomar tomorrow morning :(
