Ole is a simple Portuguese restaurant. The food is authentic, the staff is friendly and the atmosphere is simple. This restaurant has been in Farmingville for decades. The menu includes traditional salads, fresh, bright and light. The dressings use a light olive oil and wine vinegar, simple yet perfect. The dishes are generous, so bring an appetite and friends. In fact, my next visit will include friends and we will share the entrees as though they were tapas. The baked chouriço was a tasty and more than representative interpretation of the Portuguese sausage, garlicky with paprika. The pork and clams, an dish from the Alentejo region, was almost up to the same dish as prepared at Fialho without the trip to Evora Portugal. The steak with presunto was prepared rare, as ordered. Two perfectly fried eggs on top melded with the sauce to create an luxurious gravy while maintaining the peasant origins of the dish. Served with mushrooms, and the ubiquitous rice and potatoes, this dish will feed two. If you like peasant food, served in a pleasant family friendly atmosphere try Ole.

This is the place. We had a really good meal here. Lunch: fried red snapper. Grilled brazini. Rice and beans. Chicken fajitas. Good portions , fresh cooked, and reasonable price. Four beers and a Diet Coke. Don't let the line scare you. I'll go back.

We were traveling to central Long Island for a family event, looking for a nearby decent place to eat. Originally thought Italian, but found this gem, and were happy we did.Attractive interior, and very thoughtful, informative service. They helped guide us to a wonderful steak dish, cooked on hot rocks as I recall, succulent. My wife's fish was good, not quite as exceptional. We also shared a huge, savory salad. An excellent Portuguese red wine, selected with the waiter's help. And leftovers for later lunch. What's not to like?
