The food at this restaurant is really lovely, simply cooked, fresh local produce. However what makes this place special is the lovely staff who take incredible pride in their restaurant and the food being put out. Friendly and very knowledgeable about both their wine and food. This quirky little restaurant is a must if you are visiting Vila do Conte

I was looking for something to eat near the outlet, and Tripadvisor suggested this one as one of the closest. So off we went. What a surprise! It doesn't look promising from the outside. But inside it is very cute small restaurant ran by a very nice family. We had roasted goat that was divine. They have one of my favorite's wine by the glass (Tyto Alba). We finished it with a chocolate mousse that was very good too. But what makes the restaurant outstanding is the friendliness of the owners.

A Adega da Vila está encerrada para férias, reabre dia 20 de Fevereiro. Holidays! We open 20/03/2019
Although booking is normally required for this well-reviewed eatery, (phone number in pics above) we lucked out when we found it open on a Sunday lunchtime - only the 2nd week this had happened so not well known, or I'm sure we would not have got in. It certainly lived up to its recommendations, and the proprietor, Alvaro, looked after us beautifully and entertained us well. He recommended a suitable number of petiscos for 5 people, and we enjoyed them all. Everything was just delicious, and interestingly presented. We had the ham slices on a slate washing line, as shown in some of the pictures above, for example. We had the local red wine, and enjoyed it, and some of the port which continues to mature in the bottle, also very good. We shared a selection of deserts, all yummy too. A nice touch was a wee sample of the local biscuits, which were traditionally made by nuns, using up the egg yolks left when they starched their wimples with the whites. Highly recommended!

During the Camino de Santiago we stopped for lunch at Republika and itâs been quite the surprise. Very nice restaurant, super packed but they served us quickly and professionally. We choose the menu of the day: two courses, one water, one beer, two coffees for a total of 21â¬. Excellent experience, if itâs a sunny day, we suggest you sit on the patio outside

Great staff and tasty food offered here. Itâs worthwhile to make your way here as itâs off the main track. Beautiful surroundings and relaxing atmosphere. Loved the tuna starter with Portuguese sausage and olives - fantastic. Best steak weâve had since we arrived

The restauarnt is located in a small village just next to the beach in Vila Chã. The place is not very large, would recommend to call and get a reservation next to the window- the view is amazing!Plenty of options available but fresh fishes are really one of the best choices- you can get them grilled or grilled with a sauce on top (bulhão pato with clams). They have an impressive wine selection!! and the desserts are also good.

Amazing portions of fresh seafood in a quaint, traditional restaurant. A bit difficult to find without GPS and a vehicle. The quality of the food is incredible and well worth the visit.

The restaurant is inviting and beautifully decorated, and the food was wonderful. They serve very large portions so you can easily share. As a vegetarian I had a few nice options on the menu. But the best was the desserts plate we ordered - see attached photo. Note that the price level is a little high but well worth it.Hello Meron12,First of all, we are very thankful for your review and we also hope that your visit had been as good as your comment. We are glad to know that everything went fine, as we like it to be. Once again, thank you very much. Regards.

The restaurant is in a rustic setting with a pleasant appearance. Tablecloth and real napkins, not common in this type of restaurants were a very positive surprise. On the table a large wooden board with cheese, special bread and prosciutto, at Euro 9 if you wanted it. We chose it and everything was excellent. They also brought a bola de carne, a sort of salted cake, that was very good (Euro 3). As a main dish we chose a sea bass and a picanha. The fish was very good and Daniel kindly deboned the fish for us. The picanha was rather disappointing. The overall service was very agreable. They offered us a xiripiti, an interesting liqueour. The check came to less than Euro 50.
We went there to celebrate a good friend anniversary. In big groups of friends we always have someone who is (always) late so we had to wait, but the restaurant has an outdoor space to chill and have a drink the weather was inviting and to wait was actually a nice opportunity to relax. The restaurant does not have an official menu, the waiter informed us the specials by heart, it is a bit confusing.Good meat, pink grilled just from the barbecue.Overall a great experience i definitely recommend.
