Silva Grill we are a cozy yet trendy spot that serves everything from fish and chicken to top premium cuts of meat served with a little Portuguese flare in the south shore of Montreal..
I came here for a quick business lunch. What a great find! I started with the traditional Portuguese appetizer, âRissois de Carneâ it was decadent with a nice spicy sauce. For the main dish I had grilled Salmon with roasted Portuguese style potatoes and vegetables; it was cooked to perfection. The desert was included with the lunch menu and it was the famous Natas, a famous Portuguese desert.

Unique type of portugese restaurant with all homemade products ,fun atmosphere that will make you feel at home
We've taken out from this small, almost family establishment a number of times and the verdict on the food has always been excellent. This time we were a large family contingent and it seemed to overwhelm them. While the fish was delicious and fresh and the chicken was sublime, the service was sub-par. One fish dish was forgotten until we reminded them. Worse, the steak was overcooked and while they graciously replaced it, the second coming took over 30 mins to come with barely an apology.

After coming into Montreal as tourists, we learned that the city is known for many good Portuguese BBQ's. We selected this place, in part because of its ratings, and in part because of its proximity to Mont Royale, which we visited after. The place was not a disappointment by any means. The service was great, the chicken very tasty and tender. The chorizio sausage had a strong smoky flavor to it, making it the best both of us had anywhere. The chorizio was not as spicy as the typical Mexican style chorizio. The smoky flavor made up for that for sure. As a bonus, the restaurant had pastries also, which were excellent. Their Poutine looked very good, and we plan to try it on our next visit.
