If you're a fan on steaks, then Santo Bife is the place to visit in Sintra's historic centre. It's very easy to make your plate unique: you choose the steak, the sauce and the garnish. Et voilà ! Even if you don't eat meat, there's always fish steaks and e
We had the pork dish this evening . Fantastic! Best we have had in Portugal for sure. Great house wine. The food, ambiance and service made this a terrific meal. It was like being invited to friends home for a special dinner. If you want to feel like you are appreciated as a guest come to Santo Bife. We are so sorry tomorrow is Sunday and they will be closed. Well deserving of the 5 out of 5 rating. Everyone who eats here says the same.

A traditional Portuguese restaurant with a modern touch. A cozy and inviting environment with a beautiful historic fireplace and a small terrace to sit outside. Our chef prepares refined seafood, steaks from the grill and delicious homemade desserts.
After a long day at Sintra , Azenhas do Mar and Cabo de Roca, we stopped in for a small bite to eat and a drink before heading home. We chose to eat inside because it was quite windy. Itâs a beautiful restaurant, well appointed, very nicely arranged. Overall very attractive and inviting. We only ordered two tapas and drinks. The calamari consisted of about 7 chunks of calamari served with lemon and mayonnaise. Quite frankly, for the price (over 1 euro/piece) the calamari was a major disappointment. It was flavourless and tough, so tough in fact that my wife chewed a piece to the consistency of chewing gum and eventually spit it out. The peppers patron were attractive but uninspiring in flavour without the usual rock salt. Maybe thatâs how theyâre made in Portugal, which means the Spanish version is much more tasty. Service was attentive and pleasant. All in all though, the albeit limited food we tried was not impressive or something that would recommend returning. Sorry for your experience , we dident know the fried galamares was like that we had a problem with the supllier, and was very helpful if you told us at the moment ,we could give something else instead .We like our costumers leave the restaurant happy so we do always everything to compensate if something goes wrong . Best regards 3 Gomes

Although a small menu , yet a great variety to satisfy all tastes . My favourite & a must try , is the pate dish as a starter & followed by bitoque ... deserts are great . Saying that all their dishes are delicious . Canât recomend enough . Must reserve .

Very simple and cozy interior, super outdoor seating area (with heaters for cold weather). The service is friendly and very attentive! And the FOOD. Itâs typical local dishes, but theyâre made with lots of love! Their fresh baked bread is awesome, octopus is to die for, etc, etc.

Portuguese and International food by the sea.
Seven adults and everyone had a three course meal and all of us loved everything about it with no exceptions. Staff were super and even took care of our one year old and put him to sleep. View is excellent so go there. We recommend it and will never forget our dinner at Nortada so go there

I visited this restaurant with my wife for lunch on 6th August on the recommendation of others on TripAdvisor. My wife still talks about the tuna and I would go so far to say that the sardines I had were probably the finest I have ever tasted. After a fabulous bottle of white vino collapso I felt ready to return to Lisbon to meet my parents. The service was so friendly, helpful and attentive and Maria even went out of her way to allow us to use her Uber account so that we could reduce the cost of the taxi back to the railway station in Sintra, a really kind gesture that my wife and I will never forget. I cannot wait to visit Lisbon again so that I can return to this restaurant which I can recommend to anyone and without hesitation.Thank you so much for the kind words!! =)

We ate here four times over a two week period, they were full on every occasion, but the food was always perfect. We were a group of eight, each having a different main meal. The food was always hot, well presented and very good value for money. I'm told the desserts were equally good, but being dairy intolerant I couldn't try them. Last but not least, the staff, they were professional, helpful and truly friendly. Our family could not choose a meal to single out as they were all so good.

Everything is cooked at the moment it is order by you. Fresh and high quality ingredients makes the final offer irresistable. Tapas and octopus are our speciality. Tapa with a Gin is a must. At friday evening we have fado musicians! No credit card
Wow.. totally delicious we were recommended by our host Rita to try this restaurant about a 10min walk from our AirBnB. Outstanding and truly delightful. Itâs a tapas style menu which is outstanding. We had a dish called woodpecker which is fillet steak in the mist amazing sauce! Looks like a stew but itâs totally Not!! Itâs amazing!!!! We also had a trilogy of the house which was nice and authentic to the area. I then had the best prawns Iâve ever had.. if I could have licked the bowl I would! Totally awesome!!! My partner had a meat dish which was like a steak sandwich and chips. We followed this with two delicious desserts. Plus lots of beer all for around 58 Euro. This place is a fantastic little gem and I wish weâd found it sooner! I highly recommend booking a table (our host booked one for us!) wow wow wow. Thank you for keeping things authentic and giving great advice on dishes! Next time we are here we will return! Muito obrigada!Gostamos de clientes Felizes.
