Things to do in Bristol
Cafe Central was recommended to me by a friend as being basically the only Portuguese restaurant in Bristol. I've been in Bristol for nearly 8 years now and have not really heard of another Portuguese sit down restaurant. Portuguese food appears to consist of meat and fish and this food is all very good. I started with the Portuguese soup because I wanted to compare it with other Portuguese soups I had been able to have during my stay in Bristol. Cafe Central's did very well; being flavorful. My girlfriend ordered the clams casino, of which we shared. I've never really had clams before, and after those, I would have them again. For dinner, I chose the Sirloin Steak, which was very good and basically a bargain at $16. The steak and fries were good, and the egg went well with the steak. The rice was a little meh, but I ordered it for the steak and not the rice. I had flan for dessert which was fine and some good Portuguese red wine with my meal. All in all, the food was good, and the prices were low. I would probably agree with the other review on the decor and atmosphere; maybe a little effort would improve the looks of the restaurant; but I'm willing to not care if the food is good. And it was. Also, if its not changed, the photo depicting the Cafe Central with the Coca Cola sign is CLEARLY not Bristol, RI. That looks like a city. I would upload a photo from Google Earth but its not mine so...

My wife and I ate at Sagres Portuguese Restaurant with another couple. The restaurant decor is upscale and atmosphere quiet enough to have a conversation during dinner. We ordered four entrees to share: paella (excellent), shrimp Mozambique (spicy and delicious), monkfish and shrimp (very good), veal marsala (outstanding). The portions are so large, that we took away two boxes of leftovers for future lunches. Our server was friendly and attentive.

Every Bar in Every City has Cold Beers, Fun Times and Friendly Faces But There Aren't a Lot of Places That Have Food Like This!!!
I've been to the Atlantic in Tiverton quite a few times, and even attended a function there. The spacious bar is always hopping and the seating area in the restaurant is larger than it looks. The food is always tasty and fresh and as the title states, there is something on the menu for everyone! Whether you are just having appetizers or a full meal, you can't go wrong. Start with the Mozambique Cheesy Fry Tower (amazing) or the Knock Out Nachos Supreme (huge!) to get you ready for the main course. I usually try something with a Portuguese flavor (Azorean steak) but their fish and chips and prime rib are both winners! Check the Atlantic's Facebook page for the menu and more details, and keep an eye out for some of the great specials that they run.on theirThank you so so much...
Samantha's Seafood & More Restaurant offers all the freshest ingredients. Every dinner is made to order and we pride ourselves on exceptional food and service.
The stuffed shrimp exceeded expectations with fabulous flavor and tenderness. My husband enjoyed his baked stuffed cod with the same flavorful stuffing. Both meals included baked potatoes and coleslaw. Nautical decor is crisp and clean complement to fresh seafood. Tried the sweet Italian sausage on another visit and relished the perfectly prepared peppers and onions on freshly baked torpedo roll. Outdoor picnic area and Hershey ice cream make this a perfect summer go to for meals or treats.
