We had an awesome experience at Calistos in Fordsburg. Service was great and fast and the food was even better. Appreciate the SANHA certification as well. They've got salaah facilities and a place to make wudhu which is super convenient. The kids fish fingers (real fish fillets not the supermarket box stuff) were really nice and cannot say enough good things about the Rump in the Oven.

Peri-Peri chicken restaurant with a world famous Portuguese style menu. Visit Nandoâs in Johannesburg for a truly South African dining experience.
one can never go wrong with a Nandos spicy rick and Lemon herb Half chicken, or a Pine burger..... but I assure you its not worth driving all the way to the dangerous areas for that, rather choose a safer alternative... and avoid the scurry of Park station taxi rank.

This restaurant has very nice decor and its menu complements it.The food was very tasty. The prawns, calamari, and chicken were prepared Portuguese style and all were excellent choices. The vegetables and King Clip also did not disappoint. The service good and food arrived warm. It was kept in a burner.Itâs a nice visit.4.4/5

The hotel is not in greatest part of town so taxis are recommended to get about. The hotel was a great price and very central near many of the tourist attractions. The owner is very helpful and was full of good advice. The room was in good to fair condition but reflects the price. The restaurant is great and thoroughly recommended.

Run by the Da Cunha Family.
Fun ambiance and service superb. That doesnât make up for fact fish was rubbery and not properly cooked. Seasoning was uneventful. Hoped for more peri peri taste although they had sauce in table. Not the same as grilled with sauce. Liver starter excellent. Also excellent security getting in and out from street. Sketchy neighborhood way off the grid. Take taxi not safe.
