New Tamarara is located on the island of Huahine. Here is the review I was going to post: Located walking distance from Hotel Maitai Lapita along the waterfront promenade, just outside of the village of Fare, this is a must for sunset cocktails and/or din
After our first day diving, we were famished and went looking for New Tamarara restaurant which we'd read about about Trip Advisor. After having some trouble finding it, a local told us that it is now the Huahine Yacht Club. Not sure which restaurant joined which but anyways this place was very nice and authentic, located right by the water in an open floorplan with a bar and a sun deck. We had the best Fish burgers of our entire trip-big fresh mahi mahi filets served on round french buns. They were alittle too salty but still very tasty with a heaping side of steak fries. Service was pretty slow but that's to be expected at any tropical vacation destinations run by locals. Just sit back, sip the beer and enjoy the view.

L'Hotel Le Mahana is located in the heart of Avea's bay on the West coast of Huahine "Iti" (small), just 25 km from the airport and 2 km from the village of Parea. This charming 3-star hotel has a beautiful white sand beach and great coral garden in a lag
We only went to the restaurant and enjoyed the beach, the setting is stunning with amazing snorkeling spots. The restaurant was delicious with a great variety of choices, we both went for the raw fish as we are on a tropical island at the end of the day. And to top it off, the deserts were yummy. The restaurant could do with a bit more staff.

Restaurant Omai is the restaurant associated with the new Maitai La Pita Village Hotel on the island of Huahine. Here is the review I was going to post: Run, donât walk, here. Or better yet, in keeping with the relaxed pace of the island, stroll in, but w
We ate at Omai a couple of different times during our multi-day stay on Huahine. Each time the service was amazingly friendly, polite, attentive, prompt and impressively multi-lingual!If you go for lunch, you have to try either the Mahi Mahi Cesar Salad (the fish was so flavorful and tasty!), or the shrimp salad with fruit (incredibly refreshing!).If you're there for dinner, try the roast duck with honey sauce. The duck was cooked perfectly; the fat was rendered down nicely, the meat itself was very tender; the potatoes were also tasty! The chicken breast stuffed with chicken was also enjoyable.

Différentes "Roulottes" aux spécialités culinaires variées: polynésienne, italienne, française, chinoise, végétarienne ... Bienvenue !!!
There are two food trucks across the street from the Super U supermarket in Fare â one white and one blue. They both offer the same sort of burgers (beef, chicken, fish and perhaps other types) and frites. Soft drinks and water are available, or can be purchased at the Super U. We ate the beef and fish burgers with frites at the white truck and found them good. They come with some sort of tasty white sauce. The blue truck looks dirty and a local friend prefers the white one in any case. We did not try the blue truckâs offerings, but the white truck is certainly satisfactory.

We were luckily here on Sunday when they have their big luau, or whatever the Huahine word for this would be. They cook all sorts of things in the imu: pork, vegetables, etc. and then serve it buffet style Lots of choices and they were all delicious. A Tahitian band showed and played some nice music. We were there with some local friends, so got to hang out with the owners and musicians, even playing ukulele with them. It's a great location, right on the beach. Highly recommended and worth the drive.

This restaurant has a full bar and serves good, mostly-local foods, with an emphasis on sea food. The most attractive feature of the restaurant is its location--right on the water, just a short stroll from the dock.
