Szaflary [ʂaˈflarɨ] is a village in southern Poland situated in the Lesser Poland Voivodeship since 1999 (it was previously in Nowy Sącz Voivodeship from 1975-1998). Szaflary has about 2,200 residents. There is a church, a fire station, and a few grocery stores in the village. The village lies along the Dunajec River.

We only had a beer here, having already eaten, but the menu looked excellent, with many choices at great prices. A really interesting building.

Nowy Targ might not be the most touristy place of them all... to be honest - it is not such at all - but if you are driving through, from Zakopane to Krakow and want to grab something inexpensive and be sure it tastes great - do not miss that place. It is only a 2-3km detour from the main road and offers a great and unexpected experience!The surrounding and location is dreadful, yes... but this place was set up mostly for organizing big parties, marriages etc... Insert the address into your GPS though and do not get discouraged by what you see - open the door - go inside and turn right into the cozy interior with a great fireplace and true highlander atmosphere.The food is anything you would wish from a real thing, with a vast, though fresh choice and next-to-free prices! Yes... main dishes go here for 3-7 euros. We ordered some soups and main dishes and liked them a lot. Very tasty, homely food - you will also get free bread (100% local one) with "smalec" :)Service is friendly and very well organized.Try it out... it won't disappoint you and at the same time, you will save some money for the attractions in Zakopane and/or Kraków.

MajÄ przepyszne jedzenie i duże porcje, którymi każdy może siÄ najeÅÄ. Produkty Åwieże - nawet sÅyszeliÅmy jak rozbijajÄ naszego kotleta :) Wystrój lokalu przyjemny, a obsÅuga sympatyczna. Jedynie czas oczekiwania byÅ dÅugi ale byÅo to zapewne spowodowane duÅ¼Ä iloÅciÄ goÅci. CzekaÄ byÅo jednak warto.

We booked apartment in Termy Szaflary with romantic pack including dinner in gorgeous restaurant Italian on site. Great atmosphere and really good food. Highly recommended. We loved it. When I pushed the locals for the best restaurant in this city the majority called out Steskal Goralska Strawa. We were a little hesitant as this place is a little bit out of the center of town however we were not disappointed. It is similar to many newer restaurants in the traditional mountain "karchma" style restaurants serving regional Polish food. It is a slight detour from the main road, but plug this place into your GPS, park right outside and treat yourself to much better dining experience before you get back into the traffic heading to Zakopane. I really enjoyed the atmosphere here, with a fire burning in a large fireplace, all wood interior with many old 'antiquish' tools on display. There were communal tables and a full bar near the dining area. The service was good and fast. The food was delicious - it did not dissapoint.

The hotel common areas are nice, the food in a restaurant delicious, thermal waters fun for the entire family, skiing slopes are conveniently located right outside the hotel. It is a great place fro the entire family but the rooms are really ugly, they are very poorly decorated with cheap, worn out furniture, ugly carpet, white walls, dark worn out pine. I have never seen room decor so bad in a 4 start hotel. The rooms deserve 1 star .there is no bathroom kit on your arrival.

ObsÅugujÄ cy nas kierownik lokalu, pan Dawid, poleciÅ nam steki po udzieleniu nam lekcji na temat rodzajów woÅowiny, którÄ kuchnia dysponuje i różnych smaków, niezależnych od stopnia wysmażenia. ZdecydowaliÅmy siÄ na degustacjÄ i nie pożaÅowaliÅmy swojej decyzji. Z pewnoÅciÄ wrócimy tutaj jak tylko bÄdziemy w pobliżu Szaflar, chociaż pewnym niewielkim problemem jest kÅopotliwy sposób wejÅcia do restauracji, po pobraniu w recepcji elektronicznych opasek ( lokal jest na terenie kompleksu GorÄ cy Potok z wodami termalnymi). Podane steki byÅy wyborne, a ich smak taki jak nam opisaÅ pan Dawid, który zaimponowaÅ nam wiedzÄ na ten temat. Polecamy!!!

I went with a friend who recommended me the restaurant.I did enjoy the polish cuisine, it was lovely, I tried pierogi with cabbage and mushrooms and potatoe and cheese, a soup with meat a veggies, tea with Vodka and another dish I don't remember... Delicious!!!Staff were very nice and helpful, I loved their uniforms! Great decoration!

I've recently visited this restaurant for the first time and WOW!The range of choices was great, food was mouth watering. Large portions ensure you don't leave home hungry for very reasonable prices. Even though they don't have waiters, for as busy as they are, they have a very good and efficient operation. Food comes out fast, accurate, fresh, and delicious.Definitely would recommend as one of the best dining spots in Nowy Targ and definitely would come back!!!

My husband and I were visiting Poland and decided to take family out for dinner. There were 14 of us (3 being children). We wanted to check this restaurant out because it was featured on a tv show in Poland called Kitchen Revolution. The food choices were varied and interesting. There is a play area for kids and an outdoor patio. The experience was nice but the wait for food was a bit long. Food for one of our guests did not arrive until we were all done.
