I found the Cyclist through Tripadvisor recommendations. I emailed to reserve a table and received a friendly, prompt confirmation. We had a lovely meal - ordering mozzarella sticks and garlic bread starters then steak, pizza and pasta. The food was tasty, service was great and we liked the quirky decor. There was a good choice of beers and wine to go with the meal. Would definitely recommend.

After trying about every Chinese option we were tired of not knowing where to go and decided to go for a good old Italian restaurant. Found this place in TripAdvisor plus a really good review of a local site (tailored to expats) and decided to head here.Really hard to find (as we had read already) so weâve taken some pics of the way in, to make sure all readers will find this gem!Based on the 11th floor in the farthest corner of that floor, opposite an office, youâll find heaven. The restaurant serves all sorts of genuine pizzas, pastas and âsecondisâ for a reasonable price. Service is quick and in English, enjoy their work and has a smile on their faces. Who knows, we may be back again tomorrow....

If you're looking for a true italian pizza in the most ancient capital of China (Xi'an), well, I think you should try "L'acquolina in bocca" restaurant. They sell pizza with the traditional formula of "pizza slice" (pizza al taglio), with a lot of different tastes. The quality is quite high and the price is very competitive: a big slice of pizza costs between 13 and 20RMB (2-3EUR).The store is also very clean (not so common in China) and the service quite friendly, as you can expect from an italian restaurant. They also offer a delivery service, so if you lives in Xi'an and you missed authentic italian pizza, "l'acquolina in bocca" is your solution. Guaranteed by a true Italian.http://www.acquolina.biz
We live in Beijing and Pizza Huts there are so crowded and service suffers tremendously. We had been in XiâAn for 3 days and the local food was ok but we got tired of it so we went to my wifeâs favorite chain restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised at how organized and calm the restaurant was as it was a nightmare outside as it was Golden Week. We had the option #1 for 165RMB and added my wifeâs favorite, lasagna. The Supreme Pizza was tasty, the chocolate parfait, was scrumptious and served last lol! (often times in chaotic Beijing, you can get served the dessert first and your salad last) The only dish that we felt that needs to improve is their new Korean Style chicken. Having been to Korea and eating the chicken there, this was an attempt but failed miserably. In any case, the service was helpful, friendly and smiled often which was just so opposite of our usual Beijing customer service. If youâre in XiâAn and have tired of the local favorites, Iâd recommend you give this Pizza Hut a shot.

We have been to Fly Elephant Pizza three times. The pizzas are huge. The sizes are 10-inch, 18-inch and 25-inch. They have several varieties. We're fond of the Western style offerings, but they have some choices that are designed for Chinese preferences, too. We have enjoyed the pizza each time we've been there. There is always enough to take home. On my most recent visit, I tried several dishes. The salad was fresh and the balsamic vinaigrette was really tasty. They make some great dressings in-house. The chicken wings were marinated just right. Their cheese sticks were hot and breaded nicely. Staff members were courteous and conscientious. The place looks clean and well-maintained. The environment was relaxing. I can't fault anything from our experiences there. The owner is welcoming and seems genuinely interested in customer feedback. Go give it a try if you like good pizza that will fill you up and likely give you leftovers!
