My fiance and I were craving pizza and decided to try it here based on the reviews. We were immediately impressed when we were greeted by two very kind and cheery waiters. We shared the margherita pizza, tomato and mozzarella salad, and fresh broccoli cream soup. All three of these are a must have! Their pizza dough was light and delicious, with the perfect amount of cheese and homemade sauce. The broccoli cream soup was not creamy, more pureed and was out of this world! You could taste the fresh parsley and cheese. Also the tomato and mozzarella salad was so fresh, and had just the right amount of balsamic reduction - don't skip it! It was affordable and we will definitely be back when we return to Switzerland.

I thought long and hard before posting this after so many glowing reviews, but am doing so in the hope the owners take it on board (although with the number of tourists in grindelwald they probably donât need too).Firstly the positives. This is a nice atmospheric restaurant and the owners are lovely. The pizzas have very good basesAnd the negatives leading to this ratingThe ingredients for the toppings just arenât good quality. I had a simple pizza, with ham and mushroom. The ham was like the stuff you get as a cheap value item from a supermarket. Mushrooms were ok, just not many. Sprinkled with dried herbs. I think it was 26-28 francs. For this I would have expected decent quality ham and fresh herbs. On top of this there was way too much cheese. As a result all I can say is it was very average. We have a few nice pizza restaurants in Bristol that are simply leagues ahead taste wise as a result of using better quality ingredients, which is a shame as onkel toms with their bases has the potential to be awesome if they improve their toppings. It pains me to write this, I hope the owners take it as intended, which is as Constructive criticism.

We stayed at the part of the hotel that was across the street from the main location for the in room bathroom. The rooms were comfortable. Although it was near the train station there wasnât disturbing noise. We loved that it was convenient to the cable cars for an early ride in the morning. The hotel breakfast was very good with much variety and was included. Made for a good value. The balcony was nice too. We ate dinner ate the hotel and enjoyed it very much. Had chicken did and pork. Both were good. Would come back here.

If you want something else and would like Italian food, this is the place. The food is really good, the best pizza's in town. When you're more interested in pasta, thats fine. They have a nice Gnocchi Prosciutto Funghi (ham and mushrooms) and good spaghetti's.

Sina's Pub is beautiful and in a prime location in Wengen, less than a five-minute walk from the train station and just around the corner from the Tourist Information Office. The menu is reasonably-priced (relative to Swiss prices, which are generally pretty expensive) and a pizza works out at between 19-25 CHF (£15-20).The pizzas are actually extremely tasty, but the restaurant also offers a lot of other traditional Swiss menu options.Staff are friendly too.

Ristorante & Pizzeria Bar & Pub
This was restaurant was recommend by my guesthouse, a local that lives here! Itâs about a 10-15 min walk from the gondola from gimmerwald, on the opposite side of the main town. Worth the stroll! It is a old charming building inside, with lots of tables, very romantic! They even light Candles at your table! They do take reservations too! There are tables outside on a nice day, there isnât a view here except the lovely outdoors, but trust me, the restaurants in town with a view are for tourists! Mediocre food with views, and not great service. go to those places for a drink.. come here to eat!! I went there to celebrate my birthday dinner. I had been eating a lot of traditional Swiss food so I thought I would try one if their Italian dishes, they have a great menu with a large variety of local Swiss, Italian pasta and pizza too! Great beer, wine and bar menu too. I ordered the pasta carbonara, and the bruschetta. It was amazing!! Rivals any meal Iâve had in Italian restaurants in Italy! Delicious! Wonderful, caring service and staff too. They treat you like they are so glad you are there, and the great service , nice atmosphere, really great food, to make this a really great place! I loved it so much I went back the next day and had the pizza! WOW! That was one of the best pizzas Iâve ever had too! Better than Italy! I ordered the garlic/ spicy salami and added mushrooms and black Olives. It was enough for two to share, but I ate almost the whole pizza myself, it was that good! This time I had local Swiss Carmel ice cream for dessert. Go here to eat! Plan on costing on one of your first nights and I promise youâll go back!

When we arrived we were shown our table fairly quick. 20 mins later we get asked what we want to drink and eventually asked for our order. In the mean time people had arrived ordered and got there food. When the food came it was all fairlyGood but over priced 25chf for a pizza. The older lady that served us was grumpy and rude. We wouldnât go back to this place. Dear Family,I'm really sorry you found myself grumpy and rude, it is not really in my caracthere. Probably it was the evening I was short of staff as one was ill and it got very busy. Sorry you were not happy, please accept my apologises.
