Here at Caffè Amici in Sydney you find a casual and friendly environment where you can taste the best Italian recipes cooked with the finest and fresh ingredients and enjoy imported Italian wines and beers. Since 2009 Stefano and Tania welcome you for bre
Based on high TA ratings we pre-booked this small but popular caffe for an early dinner. Our food choices were well cooked traditional pasta and meat dishes and the support of locals was obvious, including take-away service. By Sydney pricing standards the food was very good value and overall we had a very good experience.

even though the Bar was very busy, we didn't wait too long for our food. The steak was delicious, soft and tender, mashed potato and beans a good side dish for the steak.

Arte Bianca âVino & Pizzaâ is a small, almost hole in the wall Italian Restaurant in Double Bay, patronized by well-to-do families, singles & groups in the area. A dozen or so outside tables and not many more inside, all bustling with activity. Iâve enjoyed two good but unremarkable meals here. Not a hugely comprehensive menu, but all the basics are covered and prepared and served well. Besides the good Italian cooking, the highlight really is the service, from a predominantly young female team of authentic Italian waitresses and the odd waiter, who all go beyond the call to deliver great attentive and personal service. The only drawback, the inflated cost and the restaurants young male manager/owner, whose almost stand-of-ish arrogance is palpable. Sadly, no concept of true Italian âhospitalityâ is on this menu. Here, it is all about the turnover. To be clear, bookings are indeed allocated a completion time on their website when made and ours was apparently 2 hours, 6-8pm. My friend was traveling in all the way from the Northern Beaches, in bad weather, so while I was seated on time, he was delayed half an hour. We ordered promptly, entreâ, mains and desserts. But then we had the owner/manager approach the table and it wasnât to thank us or offer a drink for the road. Now, I have to say not anywhere in the world, Rome, Florence, Bologna or Leichhardt have I ever been approached at literally just 2 minutes past our allotted completion time and asked to vacate the table. Having paid roughly $160.00 for two, for the meal and wines including a reasonable tip for staff; one might expect a little more courtesy than that, but sadly not here. We left feeling more than a little disappointed & needless to say, wonât bother returning. Sydney generally has way too many great Italian Restaurants like La Spiagia in Coogee, Machiavelli in the city and Frattini in Leichardt to name just a few, who all serve up big slices of real homespun hospitality along with great Italian food, to settle for this kind of blatant disregard.

This was our second visit to deVita. The first a few years ago. This visit was with my family for my daughters 19th birthday. I booked online. Upon arrival it was clear the restaurant was in chaos. The manger appeared out of his depth. 20 mins after arriving we were seated. The manger had clearly moved table numbers as throughout the evening we were being offered someone elseâs orders. Total chaos. Then onto the food. Average at best. The carbonara special was over cooked and âgluggyâ. There was one staff member who clearly was embarrassed at the mess and apologised to us for the chaos blaming a large number of new staff. Why put new staff on a sat night? Very disappointing. I'm sorry that you waited some minutes before sitting. Nobody was out of his depth, we were just very busy as we are every day. You've been offered someone's else food because one waiter gave you a wrong table number, but it doesn't seem a big problem, as they brought that food back and you got what you ordered. I'm sorry that you didn't like it, we are a very successful restaurant because we do our best to increase our food quality and service every day. You've been victim of a new waiter who assigned you a wrong table (yes, why we put new staff on saturday? Because we got two guys sick, we had no choice), but you know what? I don't feel like blaming the new guys, I'm sure they worked hard and made their best. If you complained about your bad experience at that very moment, we would have done everything possible to make you happy. If you want to give us another chance I'm sure you'll change your mind. Feel free to contact us at [email protected] and we'll give you a special gift to make things right.

Looking down over the iconic Bondi Beach, the Tratt is a true Sydney local. For 32 years this restaurant has served modern Italian food made from the best Australian ingredients and a full bar offering Australian and Italian wines, spirits and liqueurs. U
The Bondi restaurant scene is constantly changing, but the Tratt remains a reliable local favourite. After the most recent facelift itâs cooler and more expensive than before. But the prices are still reasonable, the service is high standard, and the food ranges from good to very good. If in doubt, the pizzas and pasta never disappoint. Thanks for your kind words. We took over the Tratt just over two years ago now and we did give it a little facelift, but we wanted the space to continue being relaxed, but professional and overall welcoming. Somewhere for a fancy date night, somewhere for a bowl of pasta and a glass of wine, somewhere for a breezy breakfast, and many things in between. We make pasta in house now, and the sourdough culture for our pizzas is two years strong now too. We hope we're not too cool though! Thanks again, we look forward to welcoming you again soon at the Tratt.

The best Italian restaurant in Sydney. Delicious handmade ravioli, generous and tasty portions of pasta. Pizza is like the one you eat in Naples, if not better. The chef is an Artist. Excelent service and friendly and helpful staff, if you could give more stars I would give it, go to Pizza Boccone and you'll come back for sure. Thank you!

I always considered this place the bees knees of pizza... and gelato in Sydney.... but having been back after many years Iâve since had much better/more traditional pizza and gelato.Iâm not sure if this place has changed hands or lost touch but the pizzas were bland and lacked flavour. The price was also ridiculous for what you got... tiny portionsGelato as so watery..... not creamy and tasty like I remember it being on par with Messina. Iâm sad to say this place has gone down hill since the early 2000s when it opened! Only thing that was good was the service, nice people & helpful. So the 2 stars are for the staff not the food! Or value for money

Amazing place with delicious italian food, not cheap but its a very comfortable atmosphere to have a delicious dinner. The only detail was that we were sitting down in a row of tables for 2 people and you can hear and see whatever the other couples on the side are doing and viceversa, so that makes it a little weird but at least the food is great!

Set on the Manly Wharf where the ferry docks this restaurant is in a splendid position and many seats and tables have excellent views to Sydney Harbour and the beach next to the wharf. Staff were pleasant though food arrived slowly suggesting the kitchen was struggling. Still my oysters were utterly splendid while the crispy skin barramundi was perhaps overcooked. The sweet potato and ginger mash had no taste of anything except sweet potato and the brown sauce did nothing for the fish. Other courses chosen by my husband were certainly generous and I gather the battered fish of the fish and chips was excellent. The starter of meat balls in a tomato sauce was like a main meal so starter prices were barely less than those for mains. And the martini was ridiculously expensive. $190+ for two courses, two glasses of wine and two cocktails is steep in anyoneâs money for this food.
