We stayed for two nights whilst on a motoring holiday. Our room was very good, well appointed and spotlessly clean. The restaurant offers traditional Austrian cuisine, which offers a good menu choice. Well presented and delicious. The hotel is set in its own garden with ample parking in the centre of the quiet village of Unken. An excellent small hotel in all respects, ideal for touring or walking holidays. We can recommend this hotel to you. We will be going back.

As English people eating in a foreign establishment it can sometimes be a little daunting.An Italian themed restaurant in an Austrian village did concern me, however, we shouldn't have worried about it at all. The staff were friendly and helpful and they spoke to us in English, superb ambience, efficient service but not the cheapest. Having said that it all tasted great. ....we have visited this restaurant on 3 occasions and it was worth paying a little more. Reasonably priced, nice selection. Pizza was delicious as was pasta dish and assorted fish dish. Obviously popular as was very busy and not just with tourists.They only accept Eurocards so make sure you have sufficient cash if, like us, you only have Visa or Mastercards.

We first visited when there was a village brass band playing in the grounds and we found the food satisfying and reasonable. Not high class but a good choice of meals with friendly staff serving you. You may need to book in busy periods.
