Once you get through the easily confused waitress and the marijuana smoke in the bathroom, the food isnât that bad. I tried a Thai Peanut pizza and it was pretty good. Prices are fair and beer is cold.

We stopped here because the family was hungry. It turns out, this is such a family-friendly restaurant. They were sooo welcoming! Took special attention to food allergies (the whole staff really seemed to care). Even people at the next table over we're talking about how good their pizza was. Highly recommend this place to anyone passing through New London on their travels!!

Golden Pizza is a great restaurant serving Greek and Italian cuisine. The restauranthas fourteen to twenty booths and tables to seat any party. My favorite entree is their House Special Pizza which has a variety of meats and vegetables. We've had it at the restaurant as well as take home. My vote is eating at the restaurant because the pizza is served right out of the oven and is tasty to my palette. The staff is courteous and friendly . They make you feel like you're their only customer and they are willing to go the extra mile to make your dining experience one you will remember!

I enjoyed eating the 2 slices of mushroom pizza that my family-member had ordered for delivery. The crust was a little soggy but the flavor was good... at least going down. Within an hour of eating it (and that was all I had to eat) it was... how does that song go, "... workin' my way back to you, babe, with a burnin'... well, you get it. I was sick as a dog (sorry, Princess) for the next day. Not a nice way to spend your vacation. I think the name of the restaurant says it all:" ILL"iano's. In all fairness, the others (who only ate the pepperoni and sausage pizza) didn't get sick and thought the pizza was OK. It must have been the mushrooms.

On a raw misty evening we found our usual favorites closed for the season and Trip Advisor lead us here. It being a Monday we had our choice of seats and we were greeted quickly. Our drink orders taken we perused the menu which contained mostly Italian items, but also included Greek, seafood and traditional items. My wife had baked haddock 6 large pieces with salad and baked potato. I had liver served with bacon and onions salad and baked potato. All portions were huge, enough for several meals at home. With some protein the salads would be enough for a meal! A great neighbor hood restaurant, not far off the main drag. Thanks Trip Advisor

There were six in our group, all with a different selection. All the food hit the table at the same time and quality and taste were excellent. The owner seemed to know the names of most of the clientele and greeted customers in a friendly manner. Thanks! We are pleased you and your party enjoyed everything! You will need to introduce yourself next time you are in so I will know your names too!

While in the area on vacation, the front desk at our hotel recommended Nino's. We did a takeout order and were very impressed with the food. I had lasagne and my wife had veal parmigiana. The entrees were hot and delicious and salad was great. While waiting for the order, the manager gave me a small slice of pizza, it was excellent. No complaints here, we'd gladly eat here again.

When people speak about dining out at an Italian Restaurant they rarely experience dining as if they were in Italy. The American influence has changed the Italian restauranteur to cater to the American palate instead of staying true to the Italian culture. Il Pomod'Oro does not waiver in the style that their heritage and customs have been instilled by the owner, Petrit. Their chef, Bruno, has brought his Italian culinary training to America for the first time in Il Pomod'Oro. They don't believe in sacrificing quality, their integrity is paramount to Italian country cuisine. It separates them from any other restaurant in Connecticut. Not one other dining establishment does what they do, the sacrifice is to great. The customer at Il Pomod'Oro is paramount. The staff is sworn to a dining experience like no other, this is the difference. They always make me feel that I am the most important guest in the house. There attention to detail is a benchmark in the industry. Wine Selection, food pairing, cleanliness, from outside to inside they are unrivaled. The menu creativity is what places this restaurant completely apart from a so-called competitor. If your not dining at IL Pomod'Oro once a week or twice a week you are missing the taste of True Italian Cuisine, I mean organic, farm fresh quality that is never compromised, never. still to date the best pizza.....I actually like it better than wood fired....service always great....food always the same level of "tastiness"...good atmosphere....handy....our stays are usually 2 to 3 days.....we always eat there 2 to 3 times.....and of course bring a cooler with zip lock bags for leftovers....wish I was there right now.....
