Visited on 16th May 2018. This restaurant is tiny with only 16 seats. They managed to squeeze us in on the table overlooking the kitchen. Thereâs no airs and graces here; you sit down and order from menu. Thereâs no waiters/waitresses, just the owners Massimo and Susanna. Through a mixture of my pigeon French and Susannaâs pigeon English, we managed to order. My better half had a part pizza and I had the lasagne with a petite salad. The pizza was for one and even he struggled to eat it. I quote âthatâs probably the best pizza Iâve ever hadâ. I can say the same with the lasagne. It was fantastic. Thatâs it. No extras. Not a chip in site. Would suggest ordering a salad with the pasta dishes. I had the tiramisu for desert which was amazing. All handmade by the owners along with the lasagne. All washed down with a bottle of the local Ginglinger muscat. Total bill was â¬44.00 and worth every penny. Thank you :)))

Just outside of "old town" is the Ridstorante La Pignata...about a 5 7 minute walk from the city center. This is the most authentic Italian restaurant in the area...a great staff, very friendly and warm. We didn't have a reservation but arrived right around opening time (1900 hours) and the owner seated us without hesitation. My wife and I each had a glass of Prosecco and for our first course we shared a pizza Margherita...neither one of us could have eaten the entire pizza...it was too large. But it was delicious. The dough was perfect and the amount of cheese was spot on. We shared our second course, the Gamberoni with pasta. It too was very good...the tastes were authentic Italian. Lastly we shared three scoops of gelato and we had an espresso. The place was packed with mostly residents of Colmar...so you know it's good. The owner and the wait staff were very outgoing and friendly. We highly recommend La Pignata should you wish an Italian meal while visiting Colmar in the Alsace region of France. Great spot!

Une maison dans une rue calme avec un nom sur un coin de façade: Agostino & Co. Vous accédez à l'arrière de la maison, une petite pergola vous permet d'attendre votre commande. Le pizzaïolo officie dans ce laboratoire prés du four à bois. La pâte à pizza est aplatie de main de maître puis vole et tournoie dans les airs au bout du doigt du maître. Les garnitures généreuses, produits frais et très variés viennent garnir le chef d'oeuvre. Une odeur superbe et authentique vous fait saliver. Le pizzaïolo est sicilien et le bon accueil et la sympathie ne sont pas des vains mots. Depuis la Sicile je n'ai plus jamais mangé de pizza aussi exceptionnelles.La qualité de ces pizzas est t indescriptible et à ne pas manquer!!! La carte est variée et deux pizzas spéciales et différentes sont proposées chaque semaine. Bravo, bravo, bravissimo! Oubliez les autres pizzas.!!!!

Can anyone other than the Italians really make pizza? Not on the evidence of this restaurant. Mine had dough that was too thick and not cooked through; and the anchovy and olive topping was much too salty (even for anchovies). Actually a poor dish that I didn't finish. My wife, on the other hand, had some quite good rigatoni, which saves the place from a poor rating. Service a bit chaotic. Zilch atmosphere.
