We visited Alicante during massive storms, so didnât get to see as much as we would have liked. We braved the heavy rain to walk around the marina to this restaurant, having seen reviews on trip advisor, and it was definitely worth getting wet!All other restaurants around the marina were fairly quiet due to the weather, but this was very busy, with a couple of large parties in. We were seated towards the front, on what would normally be the âoutdoorâ area. Due to the weather the roof was on and the doors were closed, it was a lovely atmosphere. Our food arrived and was gorgeous, with the added bonus of being served by friendly and attentive staff. In between serving they were having to mop up due to the rain coming in, which strangely added to the evening! I would definitely recommend a visit to this restaurant during a visit to Alicante, definitely the best food we had whilst there.

A small (narrow/long) intimate pizzeria tucked away in a back street of El Altet.A very reasonably priced & varied menu consisting of: meat, cheese, salmon starters, soups, a combination of salads, pastas, grilled meats etc & a small selection of sweets.Freshly baked wood oven pizza's with over 30 varieties & two sizes.Small, but well stocked bar, reasonable selection of wines, beers, spirits, soft drinks & coffees etc.Premises very clean & tidy, tiled floors, walls tiled to dado rail height then light pink painted rough plastered walls, large wooden cornice, white painted ceiling tiles. Ceiling fans & air conditioning. Walls display several paintings & prints. There are a dozen 4 x seater tables with blue tablecloths & white disposable over cloths. All tables set with cutlery, red napkins & large glass goblets with multi-coloured stems.Corner located TV set.Toilets small. At time of visit clean, tidy & fresh smelling.Menus in Spanish. Spanish & French spoken.I have used this establishment on several occasions. Recommended.

Having been to,Spain many years ago and swore I would never go back ,I was so,surprised by my visit to,alicante ,st Juan de alicante, was the place I went to visit friends, didn't have the hustle and bustle of hotels and night clubs ,although it was there only a few miles away, was visiting friends ,and relaxing , went to alicante ,it's an amazing city with great shops ,good cheap food ,an amazing marina and stunning beaches, ,food is really good ,get of the beaten track of holiday makers ,find a local taverna and enjoy great food and truly cheap ,Drove a friends car around and roads are good ,well signposted ,take a trip up,the mountains and have a meal or a drink high in the mountains looking down to the sea ,amazing ,Spanish driver are a bit mad ,just need to keep your wits about you and be positive when driving ,supermarkets are good and cheap ,have markets on all the time ,fruit and veg is so so cheap , I hated olives ,truly hated them ,try some on local markets,They make good coffee but the way they make it is with warm milk not hot ?.Try traditional, tostadas for breakfast ,crusty toasted bread, olive oil and rock salt,or same bread with tomatoes or Spanish ham all served with fresh orange juice and a coffee for about 3.5 euros.£3.50. Value or what ,People are helpful, and friendly , give it a try I'm off back in a few weeks ,Good luck

Very chaotic. We went here because of the good score on TripAdvisor, but this cannot be true...We had a good pizza, but all the rest went wrong. There are a lot of better restaurants to visit. This restaurant does not belong in the top 10...

Very friendly service! We had a great Caprese salad, tomatoes were sliced so thin really lovely. We were not that hungry and asked if we could have the salad with a small pizza to share with the 2 of us, was no problem at all! I also can recommend the white wine. Lovely little discovery!

Italian restaurant located in Elche since 2016. Comida auténtica y original italiana. No te pierdas nuestros platos de pasta fresca y nuestra amplia variedad de pizzas de elaboración tradicional.
Today I flew from Venice to Alicante/Elche area to visit my hermano for some R&R. It has been years since I last visited Elche. I landed around lunch time, so of course he picked me up from the airport to go to his neighborhood for some food. To my surprised, he took me to an Italian Trattoria... Wait! What you say ! Coming from Italy and now in Spain, we are going to have Italian food, but since my homie swears that it's the best Italian food in town and he was craving pizza, so here we are. I was a little skeptical at first, the place is not fancy, causal, clean and it has some charm to it. We set down, Took two beers ( they do have Italian beers and wine), a caprese, two pizzas. Wow, mamma mia, first the caprese was fresh, tomato was juicy and sweet, mozzarella was on point! Very good. Now comes the pizza , my Napoletana was one of the best I have tried. I was curious why. So I asked the staff and not to my surprised, the owner is indeed Italian and 90% of the ingredients used in the food comes from Italy, aside from the fresh veg, etc. Wow wow wow, what can I say. I love it. We even took another pizza back to the apartment ^ _ ^ Honestly, I am not Italian, but in this area, I am sure this is one of the best Italian food and most authentic. If I have to say some area of improvement would be the espresso was a little strong for my taste. We even met the owner at the end and she is very carina è simpatico. She explained to us all the where the ingredient came from and she was sincere about it. Very cool! Brava

Made a special 40 minute journey purely on the Trip Advisor reviews and we'll definitely be going back. The menus are very well put together, 3 specials, Mexican, Italian and Indian from 9,95, 12.95 and 15.95. I'm normally suspicious of places that offer such varied food as I prefer specialists that stick to one cuisine but the food was absolutely excellent and the service second to none. The value for money blew us away and we're used good value menus living out here but the quality is under no way compromised by the low prices. Honestly can't fault the place. The attention to detail from start to finish was very much appreciated. Well done for running such an excellent establishment and the fantastic reviews on Trip Advisor are clearly well earned. I'd recommend this place to anyone.Thank you so much ...

There are eating places where authenticity and simplicity shines brightly -- La Bella Italia is one of them -- despite the less than impressive first impressions. The menu layout, restaurant deco, as well as pizza and pasta dishes oozes old style Italy pizzaria throughout. My family were pleasantly surprised at how simple and authentic the dishes were -- no frills presentation yet tasted deliciously homely. We had insalata caprese (buffalo cheese and tomato as a starter), spaghetti bolognese, and calabrese pizza. It was plenty for 2 adults and 2 kids, at a very reasonable price.Overall, La Bella Italia keeps it real and is not pretentious, so much so that you get the pizza cooked traditionally in a stoned oven. Yes, its deco looks dated, as if it's been transplanted from its homeland in the 1970s/80s. But if you get past all that, the food does most of the taking. Keeps things honest: the dishes (and the bill).
