I went with a friend to Vittoria for lunch. I had lasagna and she had vegetarian pizza. The lasagna was rich with cheese and not to much meat as in North America lasagna. It looked kind of slapped together on the plate. The pizza had a thin crust was fresh as were the vegetables. It was a lunch special pasta and salad or pizza with salad. The salad had a lot of fresh vegetables in it. The tirmasui was amazing. You could taste the coffee liquer and it had lots of fresh marsapone cheese.

We were tired after a long day on the Bernina train and this restaurant was close by, but we were concerned that there was something wrong as there were no customers seated in the outdoor dining area. We like the menu, so too a chance. Turns out we just came too early! By the time we finished the pasta dishes we had ordered (which were very satisfying) the place was full. It could use an upgrade in the decor and it's not gourmet dining, but the food was good, plentiful and reasonably priced.

Restaurant and Pizzeria IL TINELL. We propose typical local cuisine. Homemade pasta; the famous Pizzoccheri; Risotto with Sassella vine; Deer, Beef and pork Bresaola; Sciat and Chisciol (typical frittata of buckwheat with cheese). Tagliata of Beef and a n
We were staying near Lake Poschiavo in Switzerland and decided to cross the nearby border into Italy in search of a quaint little hole-in-the-wall pizza joint. We explored several picturesque villages but failed to find just what we were looking for, so we headed back toward Switzerland. Suddenly we spotted Il Tinello and pulled in. We were seated right next to the wood fueled brick oven, so we saw the very adept chef in action. He handed my daughter a complimentary plate of local Speck! She ordered a meat and cheese variety plate. I ordered pizza with eggplant, zucchini, and mozzarella. All of the food was stupendous. The service was excellent, though very little English was spoken. This was exactly the experience we were hoping for, and it was very memorable! And it was a tremendous value. My generous personal pizza with a delicious thin crust and abundant toppings was only 6.50 Euros. I wish I could go again!

Located at 23 Via XX Settembre, Tirano, in the northern Italian region of Lombardy, this restaurant has a varied menu of traditional and modern dishes, suitable for families, couples and groups. Prices are very reasonable even with the cover charge and the food is great, as is the service. Walls are decorated with modern and local art works to add an extra touch of warmth and a feeling of familiarity. I was there in September as part of a group of nine adults and we all highly recommend this restaurant.

Again wonderful to have a friend in the area who recommended this place. After spending the day with Luca Martinelli we decided to ask him to join us for dinner in Tirana. Luca being a local said we needed to go to this place because the pizza is fantastic and it is near the cathedral of the Madonna. He was rightThe menu has at least 4 pages of pizza choices besides pasta, meats , fish and fantastic desserts. We decided to have the steak on a stick and tagliatelle with porcini mushroom sauce. Luca had a pizza with the beef cheese and rocket. We went back the second night because we liked it so much. Being Americans we went too early as we had to catch a 2 hour train to Milan. Make note they are closed from 5pm to 6:45pm. Again this place serves mostly locals and everyone leaves with a smile.

Appena aperto
This cafe while has an average food for pizza pasta and other common Italian food its location is unrivaled right in front of the basilica of Tirano and the railway, allowing you to take an iconic picture of the red Bernina Express train when arrives with the townâs landmark basilica as a background. This picture is showcased at St Moritz train station when you enter the station and is one of the iconic picture worth your effort and time to walk from Tirano train station to here (turn left on the main road) rather than turn right and walk to the old town.

My sister & I took our family to this restaurant as a thank you. We order appetisers (mixed meats & bruschetta) to start the every chose their main. Most had wood fired pizzas which were generous serve with many options to chose from; drinks were the usual sparkling water, cool drink & beer/wine & coffee. All up it cost around AUD300 for 12 adults. Happy to recommend this restaurant.

I came here with my parents for 2 nights! Quality & price are a great match in this restaurant. The atmosphere is nice and relaxing and the waiters are really welcoming and friendly. Both pizza and a la carte menu are delicious (the fries are superb!)

Dined at this cafe during a stopover between Bernina Express and train to Milan. The thin crust parma ham and rocket pizza was excellent. If you order the whole pizza you get thin crust pizza while those sold by slices at the counter are thick crust. Also tried the excellent mushroom risotto and other pasta dishes. Desserts like tiramisu were good too. Liked the tomato foccacia bread as well. Highly recommended as each main dish is no more than 8 euro.
