Things to do in Tepoztlan
I love the name of this place, and only wish the food seemed to show the love more. It's adequate or mediocre, and I've tried various dishes. But it has a nice love seat
He probado por lo menos 6 o 7 pizzerias en Tepoztlan y Rica Pizza es la mejor. Tiene de entrega pero el ambiente del lugar es lo maximo.
I'm a pizza snob and have struggled to find satisfying pizza in Mexico. Everyone here seems to add salsas â Worcestershire sauce, Valentina, Maggi, etc. â so maybe they don't really care that much about the pizza itself. This place made me happy â not quite San Francisco good, but still good!

Hotel, Restaurant, Bar, Live entertainment.
this place only opens on saturdays, but it's open for 24 hours. late night drinks, live Cuban music, dancing (very good locals come here both old and young to dance and hang out), and pizza and quesadillas. if you like being out late, pretty much your only option in Tepoztlan (outside of the city center), but a great option at that. We left around 2am and it was just starting to get crazy...
I've tried this several times, and the quality can vary a good deal from one visit to the other. One time, the pizza had no taste, literally. Obviously they left out something. But the atmosphere is nice and peopel are friendly.

This is a small, family-run "hole in the wall" type restaurant. The interior is small and rustic but warm and welcoming. The clay-oven pizza was excellent. Their drink selection is very limited but when we asked for wine, the waitress went down the street and got us a bottle. The staff were all very friendly and attentive and the prices for everything are very reasonable. We had a fun night out and will return for the good pizza.

Me and a group of 12 people ended up dining at Pizzeria Moctezuma and was pleasantly surprised by the food to the point that I was very curious and asked the owner/cook about his background. It happens that he had worked in the US (legally or illegally, I don't know) at an Olive Garden and I guess he outdid his former employer since his pizzas and empanadas are faaaaar better than anything you might have tried at OG!!The place is very very casual and might deceive you, but it is well worth it. For dessert try the chocolate chilaquiles!!

Now in Mexico for 6 weeks, I NEEDED a 'North American' meal, and had read that El Mango's selection was decent. Check opening times - I went yesterday and it was closed (common during week, when tourism is minimal.) The menu includes both Italian and German dishes. I opted for one of the German sausages - which came with excellent (brown, crusty!) bread/herbed butter, a green salad including shredded carrot (!), sauerkraut, and quite a tasty potato salad. All very well done. Service was reasonably prompt - and I appreciated getting the bread/butter quickly. Only one dessert was available - sounded like 'pumpkin' somehting, so despite being stuffed, I ordered it. Turned out to be more of a coffee cake, but good, with ice cream, and somewhat inexplicably, chocolate sauce drizzled over grapes and cranberries, though I was so grateful for the cranberries that I didn't care. Prices were reasonable - I think all of this was still under 300 pesos (I had a sparkling lime drink also) There's a pizza oven, so 'light' fare is also available. Recorded music was playing (a bit loudly) and it looks like they might have both a band and dance floor. It's pretty big - an outdoor setting under a canopy. A playground adjacent the restaurant area so looks pretty 'family friendly.' Other than the music, a quiet location.
