This is a lovely restaurant with great service and food, the carbonara is my favourite. We holiday in Villefranche-sur-Mer every year and always eat at least twice each visit. The manager is lovely and remembered us from our previous visits. Being a street restaurant it is also a great spot for people watching (and is dead handy for the Casino supermarket in case you need any shopping!). A must visit. Canât wait to visit again when we head out to Villefranche-sur-Mer next week.

Made in Sud is born in 2014, as a small family pizzeria from Neapolitan veraciums located in the harbor district of Nice, in our pizzas we put our knowledge on the pizza that we passed down from generation to generation. We put so much love and passion. i
The pizza was OK but most definitely NOT the best pizza in Nice - by a long way.Only one size of pizza which was quite large (definitely too much for me) - we wanted to order one to share but were told we couldnât - ridiculous!! - We would actually have spent more if we had shared a pizza as would then probably have had dessert and another drink and/or coffee as well.We both had a Diavalo pizza (basically pepperoni) - base too âdoughyâ for my liking and very spicy /peppery but in a way that overpowered the taste and left me with heartburn. Service was not with a smile - told to pay at the counter and then left standing there ...Visit Nice regularly but wonât be back here - do yourself a favour and go elsewhere - plenty of choice!!

Olivia was our waitress for 3 nights- incredible service and so kind! Let me repeat... we went for 3 night out of 4 nights in Villefranche. We didnât go on Monday night only because they were closed. It was the best Italian weâve ever had. The owners are from Italy- al dente pasta, incredible sauces... no Parmesan cheese needed here! Bon Appetito!

You would like to have a nice trip with the best tapas or pizza in town and maybe have a sit near some V.I.P.? Try alto restaurant. We speak English, French, Italian and Japanese. Closed: Saturday and Sunday.
Very good experience at this resto. Searched Tripadvisor and this was our choice for dinner during our 6 day trip in Nice. Parking is not easy - make time to find a spot.Highest grades to staff. Friendly service, all staff greeted us warmly. You feel very welcome. Staff was quick to address all needs. Service with a smile.Food was very good (tasty, good flavours) and arrived promptly. Tapas & Pizza was the trend here. Good concept!

A lovely, inviting space with the best pizza on the port! Once you arrive you will love the coziness of the space & the history of the restaurant...since 1985!! Very attentive, friendly service. Try the forestiere (with bacon & 2 kinds of mushrooms) or my personal favorite, the Provencal (with jamon, mushrooms & garlic sauce). Neither disappoints! The Chef is a seasoned professional & it shows and tastes. The pizzas are delicious. On another trip one in our party enjoyed the homemade lasagna. They do not rush you, nor are overcrowded, many times turning away people even if not full. Assuming they have later reservations they are mindful of. Highly recommended!

If you are in nice you have to go here! Lovely service and you can see how much effort and passion goes into the food.I had the vegetarian pizza with a spicy drizzle and it was so so delicious and only â¬7 which is such a bargain. Compared to tourist traps with mediocre service that will charge you 15⬠for some okay gnocchi; this little restaurant will give you delicious food for a fraction of the price. It may be unassuming from the outside but it's amazing! Merci vous avez compris notre philosophie. Il vaut mieux privilégier lâassiette et les bons produits quâune devanture modeste. En tout cas notre établissement est propre et nous essayons de régaler nos clients et les accueillir avec le sourire

Myself and my wife went based on the reviews. The staff were extremely friendly but I am at a loss about the reviews on the quality of the pizza. I had the prosciutto and my wife the double mozzarella and basil. My pizza was ok but in no way amazing. For me it lacked taste and or seasoning. My wifeâs pizza had one basil leaf on it and it was very watery which I suspect is from the double mozzarella but again it was not amazing and bland in taste. Our waiter noticed my wife did not finish her pizza and asked was it ok and we probably should have voiced our opinion. The waiter gave us some cooled lemon egg whites free which was nice. We didnât try the desserts. All in all a bit disappointed as we expected amazing pizza for us it was not.

We visited Le Serre twice during this holiday, and weâd been looking forward to it since last summer when we visited last. The setting is perfect; nestled in a narrow alleyway underneath Persian archways, at the foot of a grand church, with towering ancient apartment blocks on either side, the restaurant sits about halfway up the hill of the old town. The service, as always, was excellent, from the same two young ladies who seem to have been there for years, and who always pride themselves on customer service and experience. There were four of us, and weâve found that due to itâs popularity itâs best to book a table for about 45 minutes later, then go for a drink in one of the many bars availableIn Villefranche-sur-Mer. My partner and I chose the Daube Nicoise et Raviolis, the best meal out weâve ever had; the braised beef melts in the mouth and the spinach and ricotta raviolis compliment perfectly. Our 18 year old and her partner chose the steak in mushroom sauce and all four us enjoyed a pitcher of the house white; crisp, cold, and delicious.I love their creme brûlée, and my partner and the youngsters had the coconut flan special which they couldnât get enough of. All incredibly reasonably priced and an absolute must if youâre visiting Villefranche!
