The bar is located in the characteristic loggia captain , it looks directly at the Praetorian , opposite the church of Santa Maria . Here you can taste typical local dishes such as Tuscan soups , and bruschetta with extra virgin olive oil we produce , alt
One of the nice places to sit if you visit the town and what a bite to eat. If the ( older) lady of the house is serving and a few tables are occupied you will be in trouble. She can only serve one table a time and please don't make her confussed..... We ordered two pizzas and they tasted good. The best thing is, to walk into the restaurant, give the order to the man behind the bar and then sit outside,or even go inside to pick it up, as some customers did , it will save you a lot of waiting and waiting....Thank you for your review !we are sorry for the slow service , we had the room full of customers and unfortunately we could not please everyone !see you soon. best regards Bar Pizzeria della Taverna.

This is where the Italians from Pitigliano go. Simple, efficient and for a great price! Here they sell your Italian grandma pasta and pizza (in evenings). The place is held by people that hold to traditions with the standard Italian recipes you get to mix with the pasta type you prefer : pici, tagliatelle, gnocchi, penne, spaghetti or Tortelli (stuffed with spinach). The traditional "cacio y pepe" and "ragu di Carne" are to die for as well as "burro y salve". The latter is sometimes discarded for its simplicity when it in fact holds a very fine taste where the pasta and the ingredients used express their quality. My grandma is not Italian but I like to think that if she were... She would cook at Da Canapone.

Quaint place--teeny but smells...oh, so good. Each of us had a pizza! I never ate a whole pizza in my life! Crust was superb. Split a bottle of fizzy wine...some alcoholic content. I believe our bill was about 18 Euros for two! An entire family entered after we. Live entertainment watching the little kids. Very friendly owner/chef. One hot oven/hearth to prepare pizza that fast! Stop here.

We ate here at the recommendation of the owners of the apartment we rented. They said the pizza was buonissimo and they were correct. So many choices of pizza and it's all good. Very thin crust and lots of toppings. The desserts are also very good. However, one of the best parts of the meal was the service we received from Rosaletta. Despite being crazy busy both times we ate there, she always had a smile and a kind word. She also recommended a couple of very good local wines. Overall two very pleasant evenings spent here. Prices are VERY reasonable!!!

Rich selection of local simple and honest foods which are really tasteful, wine map is limited to house / local wines (nice ones). The view and ambiance is very nice indeed, service is friendy and with a smile. Recommended!

We loved this little restaurant, the service was very friendly and we weren't rushed. The food was simple, beautifully cooked, and there was no problem with us mixing from the Primo and Secondo menus! It was very good value for money, given that it is in such a pretty touristy little place. We would definitely return to this restaurant.

Friends and I dined here in October 2017. We didn't have reservations and had spent some time exploring the town. The posted menu looked good. Down a set of stairs we came upon a beautiful outdoor garden/dining area. We dined inside, as it was quite cold out. Lovely setting, inside the tufo rock. Nice typical Tuscan menu. We ordered crostini with tartufo but received two orders and we were charged for it. It should have been complimentary since we didn't order it.I had caco e pepe and then a scallopini dish with mushrooms; and my friends and I shared a side order of spinach. All very good. We shared a half carafe of white wine. Our waiter later showed us the tunnel area below the restaurant, which was pretty neat to see. Our meal came to 26 euros each, pretty typical. I wish I had discovered this place earlier on in my trip, as it would have been lovely to have lunch outside in the garden area.

Our lunch started off with a mixed bruschetta on slices larger than usual, very good. One of us had coniglio, the other anatra filet crusted with pistachio; both very well prepared. We also enjoyed the lightly-grilled pepperoni (bell peppers, not the little slices on a pizza), zucchine, and melanzane. With a half liter of house red a reasonable 53 euro. Service was very attentive.
