I've only taken out whole pizzas from here and that's usually decent. Today I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich that was truly inedible. I threw it out. I asked for well done chicken but not dried out twice recooked stuff. And with mushed cooked lettuce on top, this was a sandwich for the books. Even the pizza slice was clearly twice reheated and inedible. To top it off, the salad showed no sign of greenery - just the white part of iceberg lettuce. When a restaurant serves up food like this, it tells me a lot. Most importantly - never go back.

Some business visitors from Maryland had gone to Nomad for lunch on a previous trip a few months prior, and when they came again, they emphatically requested going to Nomad again for lunch. That's a pretty good recommendation. As for myself, the margherita pizza was excellent, especially the crust. And the boxed pieces I took home were still tasty two and three days later.

As a native of Princeton, NJ who dined at Conteâs recently with my family I am always amazed at how such an oddly located pizza joint that hasnât changed its decor for decades can attract so many ( it usually requires a long wait..) The answer is simple: very good pizza. Conteâs, a Princeton institution for decades, is located in a residential neighbourhood in Princeton a few blocks from Route 206, but not that easy to find. After an afternoon of Christmas shopping on a Sunday, I drove to Conteâs with my wife and two college-aged kids for an early dinner at 5:50pm on a Sunday, hoping to avoid a wait. Amazingly Conteâs was already packed and the line got bigger â we waited 25 minutes for a table. When we left around 7:30pm there were about 20 people in line, likely facing a 45-minute wait for a table.Conteâs is like a factory that cranks off pizzas and pours beer to its devoted patrons willing to endure a long wait for pizza, or pasta, and beer. While the staff is pleasant, itâs clear they are eager to turn tables to move diners in and out to optimize profits. It occurs to me that the old tables and uncomfortable chairs ( circa 1970 ) are not conducive to a lengthy stay.. they donât want you to linger but free up your table for the next guests. Conteâs serves very good pizza and they offer a decent mix of menu items plus a nice assortment of beer on tap or bottled. Donât go for the ambiance nor a fancy meal, but if you are looking for a unique pizza joint and you can tolerate a long wait to be seated, give it a try!

This is the second time I've eaten here. Both times the food has been great. I love the style how you can see the food and order it.It is a little cramped if you want to eat there but we adjusted.I had a salad and pizza and enjoyed it.I'll come back again.

Tonight we ordered the most inedible Italian food that we have ever had in 30 years in NJ. Veal Parmigiana was actually burned and tasteless as was the pasta and sauce served with it. The recommended Chicken Genteel was overdone rubber chewy and tasteless chicken with layers of bad ingredients that added no flavor at all. It too was served with the same tasteless pasta and dishwater sauce. Even the ordered garlic bread was not crispy, burned on the end and soggy in the middle with very little garlic flavor. I never give bad reviews, but be aware, dinner entrees are not good! Maybe it is just a local pizza parlor? (We did not order pizza) It is hard to believe anyone gave this place a good review. My husband is actually physically sick after eating his veal and I have a queasy stomach as well. We will never go back! $50 with overdone chewy calamari! I am glad there are so many great italian restaurants in Pennington/Hopewell/Princeton area that put this restaurant to shame. Do Not Eat at this restaurant!

Always a good pizza and/or meal here! Friendly staff, fast service. There's a reason it is often crowded on weekends! Brooklyn pie is our favorite here - soooo fresh! Other pizza selections are also good. I have had other food here too, and I have never been disappointed. :)

We were thoroughly pleased with our food as well as the service. We also enjoyed the ambience -- that is, the clientele and decor. However...the noise volume was near deafening. The main dining room could benefit from a few sound baffles. The room is all stone and plaster, so there is no where for the sound to go. It just reverberates.
