Public house, restaurant, guest rooms and camp site based just 1 mile from the seaside town of Ingoldmells, where there are plenty of shops , arcades a theme park fantasy island, a huge market. The beaches are also 1 mile drive away and have blue flag award
Visited for sunday lunch earlier this year the quality of the meat was very poor, the roast potatoes were rock hard the whole meal was a total disappointment compared to the last time we visited. We complained to management but they were not interested just knocked a bit off the drinks £3.00. Will we go again doubt it.

njoy Butlin's twist on a taste of Italy with a menu inspired by traditional Italian dishes. Relax and enjoy a lunchtime or evening meal with your family. Take your pick from stone-baked pizzas and calzone, pastas including homemade lasagne and ravioli, pl
We ate with you three times on our trip to butlins.First two meals were so lovely we decided , even though we were on a dine around plan we would have our last nights meal at Ludos.Your staff on the first two visits were so attentive and helpful particularly the two young guys on the front desk. Over the two visits we had garlic breads with chutney, bruschetta , salmon and potatoes, salmon pasta , meatballs and pasta and kids soup and meatballs all of these were loveley and my stepson loved the kids brownie.Final night was I have to say ruined by poor service from staff on the floor and the kitchen and food that did not live up to the previous nights.Although the place didn't look particularly busy it took over 2hrs for us to have two courses due to slow service nothing like previous nights. My partner had the garlic bread and cheese again which this time was dripping in oil and soggy in the middle.I ordered the trio of bruscetta and instead of the large portions the night before the bruscetta was bite size like if was from the end of a loaf and one piece was less than 1cm thickness so having been covered in pesto, had turned to mush.....I returned the food to a waiter we recognised from the previous night who apologised and took the food away.He returned to tell me that he couldn't replace the starter as the chef used the last or the ingredients on mine....which was clear from the mouse size portion .....is this what diners should expect in your restaurant? A chef who rather than take something off the menu would serve poor quality food? The waiter kindly offered a dessert in its place which although I would have rather had what I ordered I accepted.Mains arrived and both mine and my partners pasta dishes were way smaller than previous visits. They were nice but at this point we were getting the picture that you were running out of food.....we had to ask the waitress for some cheese and pepper and instead of getting some she wandered off and never came back...again we asked a waiter 1e knew who not only obliged he told us to come to him for anything else.Time for dessert....well it would have been....but what I got was a month....15 minutes to review it and then told around half of the dishes they had run out of including my first and second choices....I gave up at this point.Really really disappointed....not a cheap place to eat....and not the service or food I expected from previous visits.

Having driven past this restaurant many times we decided to book a table after high season in the area so as to avoid the busy period. On entering, this seemed like a good idea as there were only two other tables in use as we entered. We ordered our drinks then our choices off the menu.I looked for a spare rib starter as most Italian restaurants serve this, but there were none. My wife stated she fancied Canneloni as a main course but again this was not available.None of the starters appealed to use so we opted for a pizza garlic bread to share, after it arrived (after a long wait, to say there were only another six customers in) we tucked in, only to find that it did not taste of garlic whatsoever, it was simply a pizza base with herbs on with a little Rosemary on. We tried to alert either of the waitresses, but one was taking a telephone take away order, the other was chatting to one of the two cooks. Finally we resorted to shouting over to receive attention. We explained we were not happy with this tasteless starter only to be informed that this was how they served their Focaccia. That would have been acceptable IF we had ordered Focaccia but that was not listed on the menu, so how does that work ? The waitress did offer to remove the item from the bill which see did.Our mains were very nice, Lobster Ravioli and Chicken wrapped in ham. Desserts were also extremely nice followed by a coffee and a liqueur coffee. Our bill came to around £54, drinks were half a carafe of house red and a pint of coke, the coke was £3!Would we eat here again ? Maybe but with no starter as when you order garlic bread you kind of expect to get bread with garlic on it.
