We came back to the room tired on Friday evening and didn't really want to get back out and go to a restaurant. On our way back in the hotel, a young man with Domino's was there making a delivery. We asked him a couple of questions and he asked our name and if we thought we were going to call. We told him yeap. Sure enough, when I called to place the order, he had given our name to the manager and he knew exactly where we were and gave us a great price on the pizza, which was, of course, good.
I had a business meeting in this neighborhood scheduled for the following morning, so I drove by Toucan Alley, the raised-sidewalk storefront mall along Bradford Avenue to locate my destination. It was a sunny, quiet Friday afternoon - I especially like Kemah when it's open but not heavily populated, and so I scanned for somewhere I'd never been before, and settled on Pizza Here. That's the restaurant's street name - apparently, its consigliere calls the place Pizza Here Brick Oven Restaurant. There are a few street-side outdoor tables, and a few indoor tables and booths, and one can enter from the Bradford Ave. front door (and perhaps from a rear entrance, where there might be handicapped access - of this I am not certain). Toucan Alley is two stories tall, a short block long and divided into various storefront businesses. The uploaded pictures and others already on TripAdvisor will give the visual flavor of the complex and of Pizza Here: it's a single common room, with a counter where you can read the chalkboard and paper menus and place an order. It's a dim, pleasant space where foodies and other folk, not least gluten-free diners, can relax. Wines and beers supplement the pizza, spaghetti, salad and sandwich offerings, nicely listed on overhead chalk boards, shown in the uploads, where you can also read the pricing. I had a soda, a ham-and-cheese sandwich, and chips--not especially adventurous, definitely not haute cuisine; but filling and fresh. I liked the experience, and will return for a calzone, spaghetti, an salad, or some glutenous pizza. If you prefer gluten-free, you can get any pizza that way here, for a price. Hope to see you there!

And it took them half an hour to bake it!!!!!The tomato and onion wasn't even baked well, pizza didn't taste good.I will never come back to this place

About 6 weeks ago, tired of two local pizza places, I saw that the local Pizza Hut would delivery to my location. I order the chicken alfredo and BBQ wings for my daughter. I received a call that they didn't have the unbreaded BBQ wings only breaded and I told them ok (not knowing that this would be a problem). The order arrived and we started to eat. The breading on the wings was so crunchy under the sauce that it was difficult for my daughter to eat and she didn't care much for the sauce either. While my chicken alfredo was edible, it was dry and didn't appear to have enough sauce. In any case, I sent a complaint to Pizza Hut. Their response was to send me two coupons for free pizzas...no restrictions on type or size, which was nice, BUT, not that big of a pizza fan and we've eaten A LOT of pizza here on the road. I noticed that the coupons said that I couldn't use the coupons to order online, so I called them (turns out it's a call center...you never talk to the actual store). I explain the coupons and then place my order - two large specialty pizzas and a chocolate brownie. Now, I know I will have to pay for the brownies, tax and delivery...no problem. The guy at the call center tells me he doesn't have the authority to adjust my bill to accommodate the coupons and that a manager will call me. Twenty minutes goes by and no call. I call back. I am placed on perma-hold. I finally get someone who says they are transferring me to a manager, however, after holding for another 10 minutes and 15 seconds, I find out I was simply placed back in the customer call center que. By this time, I am livid. I get another call center person, who, again, says they will put me right through to the store....it rings and rings and eventually goes into another wait que. Just as I hang up to call back, again, there is a knock on the door. My pizzas and brownie have arrived and the delivery person is charging me full price. I am nearly in tears at this point and explain to the delivery person that these pizzas are free, I have the coupons to prove it. He's just a kid and obviously as upset as I am as he proceeds to start shaking and calls his assistant manager (and gets right through....must be her cell). He explains it all to her at which point she does figure it all up and tells him to give me the phone so I can pay the balance due. She doesn't seem the least upset by what I have been put through even when I tell her that the reason for these coupons was because of lousy food the first time and now having to deal with this. From the time I called to place the order (6:09 PM) until they showed up at my door with the pizzas (6:56 PM), I had tried to reach someone within that time to pay for this rather than having to give all of my info over the phone (something I cannot stand doing and find unsafe). I sent another complaint to Pizza Hut about what happened and got an email from them stating that management from that store would be in touch with me. They've never called. I'm done with these people.

Great experience here. Fun place, cool music. Ordered the Jamaican Me Crazy and Notorious P.I.G. Slices at lunch time. Huge slice of pizza and a drink for 6 dollars, can't beat it. Pizza was fresh and delicious, staff was very friendly and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. Many zany choices for pizza. Highly recommended!

Mario's Flying Pizza is a long-time institution along Route 146, the bayside thoroughfare that links I-10 with the Kemah Boardwalk and the lower Galveston Bay villages like San Leon. Immanent highway construction is about the force a relocation from the current site near the intersection of 146 and Space Center Boulevard, the winding path inland from the Bay to Johnson Space Center and beyond. Mario's was a regular venue my wife and I visited as we coped for a decade or more with her Alzheimer's dementia. It's a pleasant, down-home place with tight parking, wonderful aromas, and lots of families stopping in from work, ball games, fishing expeditions and the adventures of every day. A small TV blares out ball games or game shows across the tables and booths, but conversation dominates the room. The pizzas are exceptional, and the night before my late wife's memorial service, our daughter and her three children stopped in at Mario's with me. We divided a large Mario's Special, and everyone had one shot at the salad bar. Very nice! The house special is a tasty favorite, and the pizza options should meet nearly anyone's preferences; I like anchovies, and they can be added to the part of a pizza I'll be consuming. The place has a one-visit or unlimited salad bar, good Italian desserts, a fair wine and beer selection, good spaghetti, and moderate prices. The managers and waitstaff are friendly and capable. Mario's Flying Pizza is a fine community gathering place which also offers takeout and delivery. I hope the new location (not far from the present site) will offer equal hospitality and maybe a bit more parking. Hope to see you there!

Good beer choices and bar service but the pizza crust was less than average and the chicken died in vain. The mash potatoes seemed to have bbq sauce in them and werenât great. The vegetables were frozen sometime today.
