Part of Pottsville history! Everyone eats here the subs are great! Are different but in my book that's good! Loads of meat on sandwiches. Love the turkey, tuna and Italian. Staff is always friendly and it's a very comfortable atmosphere. I don't think Pottsville would be the same without this place! Give it a try you wont be disappointed.
I have been ordering from fast Freddy's for my whole life, and I love it. The cheesesteak is great love their turkey clubs, and I really love their mini tacos. My family loves this place! My oldest sister lives in Texas now, and when she comes to visit the first thing she wants is a cheesesteak form Fast Freddy's!

If you're looking for the best Italian restaurant around this area Palermo's is the place to go. Their Eggplant Parmesan is delicious and so are the fresh hot rolls. We usually go on a weekend and although It's a busy place the wait is never very long as there's a steady flow of customers coming in and going out. The wait staff has always been friendly and efficient. Others we've been with have never been disappointed and neither have we.

Prices are reasonable, pizza is good. Only downfall....I'm from the south and a pizza with "everything" is a totally different experience from this pizza. Don't get me wrong, the pizza was delicious until I bit into an anchovy. They are not included in "everything" where I'm from. Somehow, eating pizza just looses something when you get that fishy taste. So, lesson learned. In the future, ask for everything, but no anchovies.

Lunch at Valenti's was excellent. Valenti's menu offers a huge selection of subs, sandwiches ( including cheese steak ) pasta, salads, pizza, and desserts that are reasonably priced. Rolls and crusts are obviously home made. My cheese steak was huge. My wife's Caesar with shrimp was more than she could eat. We also ordered take out of pizza and tiramisu. Service was cheery. Food was delivered without much wait. You cannot go wrong eating at Valenti's or ordering out.

While traveling to Orwigsburg, my grandson and I found Mustard Seed Cafe on the square in town. What a find! I met the owner who actually is native Italian; enjoyed his accent. The cafe offers a large menu including subs, pasta dishes, and of course, pizza. Also, home made sauces are sold. I ordered half an Italian sub with oil, not mayonnaise which is so inappropriate on a true Italian sub. The roll had a crisp crust covering soft bread interior. Ingredients were fresh and tasty. This was a perfect sub that I seriously miss. My grandson ordered a slice of cheese pizza. Delicious! And, it covered a regular size dinner plate, but he did not leave one bite behind. With drinks our lunch cost less than $20.00! We will return if we make another trip to this area.
There are about a half dozen pizza places within 10 miles of this place. They moved from the Cressona mall a while ago and took up this location next to Redner's. They closed for a while but are now open again. I grabbed a slice and it was ok. It was thin crust that could have used more sauce and cheese and a bit dry. I will not stop again for pizza. I saw a person eating a hoagie that appeared to be a bit lean on meat and it looked like a hard roll. There are better pizza places in the area and I imagine the nearby PSU campus keeps this place alive. Big parking lot and clean interior.

Happened upon Loduca's on a trip to the area. What a great find! Excellent local eatery. Food was delicious and perfectly cooked. Seared scallops with angel hair pasta were succulent and appropriately seasoned with a garlic, mild lemon sauce. One friend ordered Caesar salad with chicken. Greens were fresh and crisp accompanied by the largest serving of grilled chicken that I ever have seen on a salad. Another ordered cannelloni, another great choice stuffed with perfect cheese and tender vegetables, covered in a delicious tomato sauce. Food was excellent. The reason for the "very good" rating is because the restaurant should have scheduled more wait staff. The restaurant was busy and there appeared to be only only one waitress who was helped by the host. She did her best and maintained her composure in, what I conclude, was a hectic hour. This small, local eatery offered an extensive menu of bar food and Italian. Also, extensive bar choices were available. I do not understand why anyone would order fries or sandwiches and chips when such great Italian dishes are available. Prices were reasonable.

We had a ball, upstairs by the front windows. Brea, our hostess was great. The food was great. The portions were huge, and everything was tasty. I challenge you to eat and finish a whole small Stromboli, yourself....and we had food to take home for the next day.Four people, $51.00 before the tip.

I had a few folks claim this place has great subs. Not so much. I got an Italian and it was nothing more than average. Nothing great about the meat or cheese, typical lettuce, average roll. A Farlow's sub crushes this place. I also grabbed a slice and it was average as well. Perhaps the food other than the subs and pizza rate an excellent rating, but I doubt it and sense the typical over rating ubiquitous in ratings. Its in a dirty strip mall.
