Well they really have an excellent pizza, thin pasta with good taste. Not too many different styles but they actually do a great job with what they have. They have other dishes options but I'll bet for this one. It is a small place with 6 tables available for 4 person each. They have good service too.If you like cold places and good pizza, this is your place.

Delicious pizza. Nice ambience in the pub/restaurant. Each pizza is at least a 12' and can easily feed two people unless you are starving on arrival. Service was friendly and efficient. A great find when looking for some non- native Costa Rican food but not a fast food chain. Well worth the visit

This is our favorite place to eat when visiting our friends in Atenas. Everything is good and with an extensive menu of mouthwatering choices, it never gets old. We find ourselves jumping in the car to go every couple days. Getting ready to go again for dinner and just remembered to write this review. :)

Finding the place was straightforward. The train tracks twist off from the Av Central near Calle 33, a path follows the tracks so no worries about being crushed by metal beasts. After 100m a lit up set of stairs on the other side of the tracks lead to a locked door with a grill you can see through into the restaurant. A few moments later and the matter-of-fact owner popped the door open to us, and showed us a table in the half empty restaurant. This was 7pm on a Friday. It got busier half an hour later, but still a couple of tables free. I liked the fact that every now and again a train rumbles by outside and the place vibrates. Where else do you get that?!The decor was great, really pleasant with romantic overtones. As others have said, it really is a great find. There's no menu, we were offered either a Ham, Salami, Anchovy or House pizza. We went with a half an half large pizza. With 4 beers between us it came to C$18,500. The Pizza was good but not amazing. Certainly worth a visit if in the area.

On arrival in a dark Grecia we looked around for somewhere to eat that didn't ONLY serve fried chicken. We were in luck with Macho as it also served pizza. The pies themselves were fine and seemed cheap for the size...don't expect any alcohol to be served, though.

Today was our first time to try El Italiano and we were quite pleased with it. Finally we have found an Italian restaurant in Costa Rica that knows how to make their pasta âal denteâ. My wife had fresh pasta with Italian ham and black olives in a delicious red sauce. This was a truly well prepared dish and will keep us coming back to this charming little restaurant.I ordered the Margherita pizza and Imperial beer. The ingredients of the pizza were very good, even having a fresh basil leaf on every slice. It was also cooked pretty well, getting the crust a little toasty along the edge. The unfortunate part was that they put the pizza on a ceramic plate that immediately cooled the crust and made it get soft. We both really like a crispy crust and its difficult to achieve unless you present it in a tin pan or on a pizza cardboard with ridges. We hope they fix this small presentation issue and get to the same level on the pizza that they are on with their pasta.I also want to note that the Imperial came out of a special refrigerator that had the Imperial logo across the front and was truly ice cold. If you like Italian food, give them a try the next time you are in Grecia. They are just far enough out of the center of Grecia to have free parking and the service was great.

We ordered a large vegetarian pizza and weren't disappointed. The crust is very thin and crisp. We also had strawberry smoothies and they were the best we have had yet. Service was really good and our waiter spoke some English. Very nice place just outside the mall

Charming, casual Italian restaurant and pizzeria under a beautiful palapa roof. Wonderful friendly owner from Italy and great service! The highlight of Costa Rica dining until now. A bit hard to find, but worth the effort, just outside Naranjo. Don't miss the panna cotta for dessert!
