An outstanding pizza & crepes restaurant on the Juquehy beach. We did not expect such a nice pizza in a place like this, it's as good as the best pizza places in São Paulo.The 12-piece square pizza can be ordered with 3 different toppings and easily serves 4.Live music adds a nice touch but service still needs some improvement.

It's a bit off the main path and the area left us a little confused. But once we found it we couldn't be happier.Thin and crispy like real Italian pizzas, along with friendly and helpful owners. Our 3 year old refused to eat pizza on the day, so the owner kindly cooked him up an omelette! Couldn't possibly have failed more. Didn't listen, didn't try. Only accepts Amex credit cards (?). No plates or cutlery - like it's hip and cool or something, instead just seems cheap. Kidding right? Pizza good, but not worth the aggravation of everything else.

My husband and I tried this restaurant one Saturday evening. It is a very popular restaurant that has solid pizza. There are a variety of pizzas on the menu, but nothing that is unusual. We ordered the Maresias pizza (similar to margarita) after they didn't have pepperoni available. The service was attentive. Overall, this restaurant is good for a casual evening with drinks.

My traveling buddy and I were in Caraguatatuba for two days en route to our final destination. We speak nearly zero Portugese, so ordering at most eateries can be a challenge. Not at Surf's. First they have an English menu with pictures. This made ordering a snap. When we had questions, our waiter was friendly, patient, and helpful. The food was simply incredible! We tried a pizza and a steak for two dinner. I am from Nebraska where steak is king and I am telling you the steak was in my top 5 steak experiences! Incredibly seasoned and cooked. The pizza was unique and out of this world. If you have time for one sit down meal in Caraguatatuba, make it to Surf's.

Together with its sister-restaurant, Badaue, Chapeu do Sol is the best in Juquehy. It now offers Sushi as well. Have robustas (griled vegetables on skewers) as well, or griled fish, moqueca, and ceviche. Note that their new version of Ceviche is made fresh at the sushi bar. It is a smaller portion than their original version, and not as marinated. Lucky for me, the owner decided to offer the old version as well which comes from the kitchen, which is a meal in itself. Pizzas are wonderful here as well, and they offer a full bar. When sitting at Chapeu do Sol you can order from the Badaue menu, but not vice-versa.
