The staff at this restaurant were very welcoming, helpful and made our visit. They even provided an extensive map of the area. We ate in a group in the courtyard overlooking the sea and where we were staying below in Santa Maria. The food was excellent. Great experience.

Ottima pizza napoletana leggera e sottile, cornicione alto. Locale con giardino interno non troppo grande ma non affollato.Servizio abbastanza veloce. la pizza è davvero ottima ma il locale non è il massimo per questo non lo valuto eccellente, l'attività principale della struttura pare essere bar tabacchi all'eterno è stato ricavata la pizzeria, ma sia gli spazi per cucina e forno e come sono dislocati non sono il massimo, i bagni erano alquanto sporchi.

Le Gatte is a restaurant in a sixteenth century archway overlooking the sea at Santa Maria di Castellabate. They specialise in seafood, naturally enough, but also offer a buffalo and porcini option which I would recommend. The staff are very friendly. At least some speak English, though the village is a holiday destination for Neapolitans rather than foreigners. The view from the arches of the sun setting on the Mediterranean is marvellous.

Intrigued by the yellow tabby sculpture perched on the top of the restaurant's gait, we decided to try this restaurant located along the seaside promenade of S. Maria. The atmosphere is no frills, but the staff and the the owner Brigit, fluent in German and Italian, were delightful.Although the octopus salad was quite tough and minimally seasoned, the fried calamari were fresh and tender. I ordered a grilled fish (orata) which was slightly dry. The local table wine was more tolerable in white than the house red. Dessert consisted of a light and creamy pear cheese torte.The pizza menu is extensive, but the specials of the day are few and uncomplicated- nice for families and diners seeking just a few simple choices.

Great pizza with huge selection. Nice selection of beer. Antipasto was good with an interesting assortment of tasty items. We have eaten in Il Cantuccio for many years and have always found the food excellent. The pizza is also great. Service is laid back rather than slow. Remember this local Italy not Tourist Spain. The fact that the locals queue to get in to Il Cantuccio says enough.Try any of the fish dishes or the daily specials and you won't be disappointed.

This is one of the incidences where you do not judge a book by it's cover- although the exterior of Duca Dica is not inviting, the food and value make up for what the establishment lacks in decor.I have eaten here several times with locals and with my family members from the U.S. The restaurant is very clean and the pizza, seafood and antipasto were all quite fresh and tasty. Service was attentive and courteous. We enjoy sitting in the small dining area which faces the sea- quite pleasant on a cool late summer evening. Air conditioning available in the larger dining room.

The local it's pleasent and quiet, clean, the owners are very friendly and helpful, there is a great variaty of pizza, tasty, thin and crispy, also great italian coffee there, the prices are very good, decent among others in the area, highly recommended!!!I go there for a few years and never dissapointed me.
