Things to do in San Ginesio
It would be easy to drive by Shed....or to stop and leave again.....as we almost did...it looks rather unprepossessing...but I am so glad we didn't! The food is tasty, great value for money and the service quick and friendly....it's 'street food', with a twist...some dishes that have clearly been well thought through, ( a local bean and pork stew which was incredibly tasty) as well as the 'usual suspects' of locally cured meats and cheeses....these were tasty and fresh....most definitely worth a visit!

The farm is surrounded by oak trees in the heart of the Sibillini Mountains. Our strength lies in the close connection to the territory: in fact the raw materials come from our crops and farms. The family-style cuisine enhances the traditional flavors: ha
This is a restaurant tucked away gown a track with the only sign being a rough handwritten sign off the main road.Great for children as there is a big play area within view of outside seating. There is no choice but there is no need! Huge plates of delicious ham, salami, sausage, followed by a very worth bean soup and then chops/steak and a pud - with wine for four adults and two children, just 120 euros!

We were killing time waiting for the castle to open. We had a lovely long lunch, food was great and service very friendly without being intrusive.

Ristorante Pizzeria
One of the great joys of being in Italy is that respect for food is deeply ingrained in the culture. I have eaten in some bad restaurants the world over, but never before in Italy. This dismally appalling restaurant has it all: bizarrely horrible decor, grumpy staff, some of the worst food on the planet. Yes, it is definitley in my top 10 worst restaurants list world-wide.When we entered the restaurant we were amused, rather than put off by the fluorescent green walls, the pink and green table cloths and the full wall photo of the Sibillini mountains (you only have to step outside to see the real thing). We were a little taken aback, not put off, when a chap dressd like a colour-blind trucker (red baseball cap, green jacket, blue jeans) approached us to offer us a table. We were pleasantly surprised to find that we could have a simple meal - salad, pasta, wine and mineral water - for only 7 euros each. Just what we were looking for - a simple, light lunch.Unfortunately the salad had seen better days, but it was not inedible ... unlike the psata to follow. My wife ordered penne arrabbiata. Now, if you know your Italian food, you will know that an arrabbiata sauce should be firecely hot. This one had never come near a chilli pepper, not even a flake. I ordered spaghetti carbonara - a simply, almost impossible to ruin dish that I frequently cook myself. What a genius this chef must be: the pancetta was undercooked, greasy and tough, the pasta was overcooked and the egg seemed as if it had been fried for a long time and then crumbled into the pasta. Unbelievably bad.7 euros a head? I wouldn't give you 7 centesimi for it. Avoid this place like the plague. If you are in this neck of the woods, there is another simple, inexpensive restaurant just a spit away called MOMA. You might pay a euro or two more, but MOMA is very good, simple food and you will not be disappointed.

This little gem is set in a beautiful medieval building and has amazing food and wine. The meat is made on special hot stones and it is delicious. The homemade pasts is cooked to perfection and the antipasti is delicious. The owner is friendly and very kind and makes the visit feels like you are dining at a friend's house. The place itself is warm and cozy and I highly recommend going there.During August it is recommended to make reservations.

We took the tasting menu which I definitely recommend. Five small dishes, all fish, all excellent. The atmosphere in this restaurant is more modern than anywhere else we've been in the proximity. There was live music and a busy crowd. The staff paid little attention to us. Another thing I did not like is that they open all the doors and have many lights on so the place was buzzing with mosquitos, we were sitting next to a lamp which was completely covered in them and we ended up with many bites, they really ought to do something about that.

We eat dinner here on a Tuesday night. We arrived just before 19:30 hrs and thought at first that it was a little bar cafe but then the manager opened this big sliding door to reveal a big new restaurant area. Within 5 minutes there were 3 other English speaking couples in too. The pizza is delicious. I had the tuna, onion and anchovies. It's also very good value

We ate here recently with a big group of family and friends on a busy Saturday night, food ordered ranged from Truffly pastas to Pizzas, fantastic tagliata steak with rocket, Grana and Pomodorini. Service was amazing, food was even better and the bill was ridiculously low, we will return! Thanks

There are three restaurants listed for San Ginesio but not Terra Nostra which is an omission as it is the best and most popular restaurant in town. When you list it I will review it. Many thanks.
The restaurant is located in the lovely square in San Ginesio and the young waitstaff were friendly and helpful. When the mixed cheese plate arrived, I was a bit concerned, since cheese i had bought at the gourmet counter at the local Coal supermarket that looked less mass produced. The best thing we ordered were the olives ascolane. Most people were ordering pizzas, maybe our mistake was in ordering pasta. The pastas were not bad, but nothing special, and the cappuccino was the same. i kept wanting to like this place but left realizing overall the meal had been quite average.
