Pizza was ok but lacked Flavor, it was ok but definitely had better. The personnel was a bit rude and could have been more helpful. When I asked questions she stated to see the manager.

Founded in 1961 by the Valerio family in East Boston, Papa Gino's has been serving the same thin-crust Italian-style pizza and supporting local New England communities for over half a century. With dough made fresh daily in Walpole MA from just five simpl
I moved to Salem in August of last year and had eaten at Papa Gino's when visiting. Always had a good experience. So, I was looking forward to establishing a happy relationship with them as a resident. One Saturday morning in October, I called to order a large pizza. Was told by the man answering (who turned out to be the manager, I found out later) that it would be 20 minutes. No biggie. Waited 10 minutes then drove down there. The place was packed, not only with diners, but people sitting in chairs near the front windows, waiting. Apparently, Papa Gino's was filling orders for the fire department, which was having some kind of fund raiser. That took complete priority over everything. I finally made it to the counter and was told it would be another 20 minutes by a young lady. So, I went shopping in the Christmas Tree Shoppe and returned within 25 minutes. Again, my pizza was not ready. I took a seat amongst the VERY disgruntled clientele waiting by the windows and listened to them mumble and gripe about the poor service. As I sat there, almost in a daze, I watched one fireman continuously walking in, being handed about five large pizzas, leaving and then returning. This was repeated so often, it lulled me into a near-sleep. The only thing that kept me awake was the non-stop complaining of the people around me, and the sound of their chairs scraping against the floor. By now, I've been there an hour, still no pizza. Not once did the manager--who I could clearly see--ever explain to anyone waiting what was going on. I found out from scuttlebutt amongst them. My mind started to race: should I just leave? I didn't, I stayed. After an hour and a half, the fireman picked up the last of his pizzas, and people who were waiting began to be served. I was there a total of two hours before my name was called. Opened up the pizza and saw it was the wrong one. I turned on my heel and left. Later, I called the district office and complained. The man who answered actually told me he was removing that manager and sending him to another store because of the complaints they'd received about him. "No excuse for that behavior, none at all," he said, and apparently, that's exactly what happened. The next time I went in, the old manager was gone, and I had a nice ten dollar credit waiting for me. Don't get me wrong, I love the pizza, but this experience made me wonder if I should bother going here when Romano's serves pizza up fast, hot and delicious...without the hassle! And while I think it's wonderful that Papa Gino's contributes pizzas for free to the fire department, they are running a business, and their paying customers should come first.

The pizza is the best we have ever had. Portions are ample. Sandwiches are huge as are the french fries. If you are looking for fancy dining this is not the place, but service is fast, food delicious and staff very accommodating.

Every time we don't want to do homemade pizza, we go to Amore. The spinach florentine is my favorite, although it's hard to go wrong. This is the only place that has never screwed up an order and never served me anything substandard.Syrus (the owner) and his wife are lovely people and they serve wicked good pizza. I also like the baba ganoush and the desserts case - pretty sure they make all that by hand too. They do sugar free desserts!
Good little pizza place just east of the N Broadway/S Broadway intersection. Good value, good portions and even Syrian dough available as an option for a lighter pizza.

Beach Pizza is just like Tripoli's pizza. Anyone that is familiar with Tripoli's will know what I mean.Beach Pizza produces a very good quality product along with a reasonable price. They have pizza, meat pie, spinach pie, calzones and salads. They also offer cannoli and baklava for a sweet finish.Beach Pizza is perfect for a quick meal or snack. They also offer a full tray of 20 slices which are great for parties or if you just have a lot of mouths to feed.I'm in there all the time. If you haven't been there yet you are missing out.

Went to Balduccis for the 1st time, small but comfortable area to eat in. Ordered Pizza and wings. The pizza has THE biggest pieces of toppings I've ever eaten on a pizza, it was very good, ( and not burned like many wood-fired pizzas) The wings were ok, (wished they offered a smaller size ) accompanied by pitas and blue cheese cup. Bottled drinks in a cooler. Counter service to order then they bring your food out. Didn't take long. Nice & helpful waitress. TV on wall. Will go again.

I go to New Hampshire once every few months to get butts. Since they're less that 1/2 what I pay here at home, its worth the trip. Whenever I go, I always try to locate a local place I never been to for lunch. So I was driving around an area in Salem I'd never been to before. We drove by Blue House. It was a giant house painted a bright electric blue. No way to miss it. We turned around and went back. I'm so glad we did.First, Mary and Rena, the to girls behind the counter get a shout out! They were great, quick, efficient and made us laugh. As is my habit, we ordered a small meatball and olive pizza. OMG Yum! The pizza didn't have a ton of sauce on it, but definitely focused on the toppings. The olives and meatballs were UNDER the very ample amount of cheese, so as not to dry out the toppings while baking. It worked because the meatballs were juicy and delicious. The bottom crust was a little soft. I might ask them to leave it in a few more minutes next time, but that was minor compared to the flavor. Each topping stood on its own, and you got a generous amount in every bite.Needless to say, find this place and go there. Totally worth finding.

Granfanallys is in a hard-to-see strip mall on Route 28 in Salem, New Hampshire, so we drove by it a hundred times without realizing it was there. Until our son-in-law was looking for good New York style pizza, and someone told him to try Granfanallys. He talked us into trying it, and it was really good. We also heard they have good burgers, so that's the next thing we want to try. It may end up being our go-to place for takeout. Prices are good, too.

Some of my he best pizza around the owners are always nice and they try hard to please and fix it if it's not right.I love that they offer free try's and garlic knots, but the last time we got cinnamon knots instead and they were so burned on the bottom that we could not even eat them.I was very surprised that they still delivered them instead of remaking them.I will continue to order from here as my family enjoys the food.
